Perfect for couples, families, or solo travellers, this beautiful and comfortable cabin blends rustic charm with convenience, giving you the best of both town and country in the heart of New Zealand’s Waikato
Your hosts, Chris, Hayley and their daughter Maggie, are a friendly Cambridge family who love welcoming guests to Cabin-on-Swayne. Chris, a former member of the New Zealand Police, now runs his own business from an office on the property, while Hayley is a local primary school teacher. As a family, we’re passionate about connecting with people and enjoy spending time outdoors walking, biking, and playing golf. You’ll also meet our much-loved pets – Ivy, our lively Jack Russell, and Olive, our tabby cat – who add to the homely feel of your stay.
Located in the heart of the Waikato, Cambridge is a charming small town often called the “Town of Trees.” With its leafy streets, boutique shops and relaxed, quaint feel, it’s a place that quickly wins people over. You’ll find everything from top-class restaurants to family-friendly eateries, along with a local movie theatre for a cosy night out. Outdoor lovers can explore the Te Awa River Ride biking trail or enjoy a round at the stunning Tieke Golf Course.
