Our Little House on the Hill has fantastic views of a beautiful private lake, surrounding hills with horses, sheep and cows grazing and sea views. Completed in October 2018, this 2 double bedroom house is double glazed and fully insulated with gas central heating. We have very efficient ceiling fans ideal for warm weather. The property is completely self-contained with a private entrance with a full kitchen including oven, gas cook top, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. There is a 50 inch flat screen TV with free internet access. Bedroom 1 has a Queen bed. Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds. There is a large walk in shower and a heated towel rail. The deck is very large and is a fantastic place to relax and enjoy the view. There is also a gas BBQ and outdoor furniture. There is secure private parking right outside the house. Please note there is a staircase leading to the property. We welcome children but our place is not baby/toddler proof so would advise that our little house is only suitable for children over 5.
Hi, Originally from the UK, my family and I moved to Wanganui in September 2016. The Little house on the hill is located behind our own property on a hill, so I am always around should you need me. We are looking forward to meeting and welcoming people from all over the world.
Our property is located in a very nice part of Wanganui, only one and a half minutes drive from Virginia Lake and four minutes drive into town. The high street is very pretty especially when the hanging baskets are in full bloom in summer. There is a good selection of bars and restaurants. Wanganui is famous for its river and there is loads to do on it. A lovely stroll or cycle along the river path or maybe if you are looking for something more thrilling, a jet boat ride to the Bridge to Nowhere. You can canoe, water ski etc. or take a lovely trip on the iconic Waimarie Paddle Steamer. There is also a fantastic art scene in Wanganui with many galleries to explore, plus you can watch glass blowing in action or maybe even try it yourself! We have great sporting facilities in Wanganui too, our property is only a 5 minute drive to the sporting stadium at Cooks Gardens, the local pool and the roller skating rink. It is about a 10 minute drive to Wanganui airport from our property.
