Secluded, private, rural, gated property. Victorian style home with mature English gardens offers a large loft with ensuite and separate entrance. Well appointed king bed, plus two single beds in the loft. By arrangement other accommodation in main dwelling available – kids left home so we have plenty of room! Continental breakfast included – home made granola, seasonal fruit and toast of choice, plus plunger coffee and selection of teas. Full cooked breakfast available by arrangement, with host in main house. Dinner by arrangement with host in main house – Salmon; wild Venison; Chicken Pie. Included nibbles, dessert and beverages. Secure parking on site available by arrangement, short or medium term available. Luxury air port transfers by arrangement – 40 – 60 minutes to Auckland Airport.
Dave and Bridget are empty nesters who have a magnificent (16 year old) home built by themselves. The home was built for “entertaining” with large family room/kitchen, separate dining and lounge. Outdoor decking built for the sun, with rural views afar for breakfasts or dinners when the weather is conducive, pool and spa and outdoor fire. Dave is an excellent cook and Bridget is not bad either. Choose to either book the Loft with own ensuite, or share some time and hear some yarns of farming, horse breeding and riding, or just relax by the pool.
Rural farming and cropping "Pukekohe is the food bowl of Auckland". The famous wild west coast surf beach "Karioitahi" is a mere 20 minutes away, or venture further to the Awhitu Lighthouse on the southern side of the Manukau Heads. Pukekohe Park is 10 minutes away or visit the quaint village of Patumahoe (4 minutes), where you will find the Village Bar and Grill and the Butchers Shop Cafe.
