The Home Hotel Post is a charming hotel, located in the old post office in central Oskarshamn. You'll stay close to Oskarshamn Station and the Gotland Ferry Terminal. Breakfast, fika and our evening meal are always included in the price of your room. In the center of Oskarshamn The Home Hotel Post enjoys a central location by Stora Torget in Oskarshamn, just a few minutes' walk from the travel center and ferry terminal. The older part of the city is just around the corner, with cobblestoned streets, art studios and shops. Relaxation area with sauna Our relaxation area has a wonderfully serene atmosphere. This is the place to come if you're in need of some peace and quiet. From post office to popular hotel The Home Hotel Post is located in two buildings, each with its own story to tell of Oskarshamn's past. The beautiful main building dates back to 1905 and used to be the city's post office before it became a hotel in 1985. It underwent extensive renovation in 2025. The interior of the main building dates back to the early 1900s. It has high ceilings and several of the rooms have stunning ceramic fireplaces. The hotel truly offers a reminder of the city's past as a shipbuilding community. The former city hotel is located nearby, and it was renovated in 2025.
