This B&B is located in a historical fortress in Varberg. The accommodation is set in what once was a bakery, hospital and prison. The fortress faces the North Sea and the property features both regular rooms and converted cell rooms. Fästningens features free WiFi access. Breakfast is served at the property from 8 a.m to 10 a.m. Guests can enjoy the shared garden or take the 100 metre stroll down to the panoramic seaside. Right below the property there's a sandy beach. Varberg Train Station is within 500 metres and Gothenburg Landvetter Airport is 92 km away.

We love to give our guests a unique experience at Varberg's fortress, to meet new and recurrent guests and to hear about different travel stories and adventures. Informazioni sulla struttura

Welcome to the Fortress! We are located inside the walls of Varberg's fortress dating from the early 13th century. We offer a cozy accommodation in our B&B. If you want a more captivating accommodation, you can choose to spend the night in a cell in the former prison. Just outside our accommodation is a sandy beach and piers. To Varberg's center and train station it is only a short walk. Welcome with your booking!

The environment around our B&B is grassy areas with historic stone walls, where there are tables to use to eat or just have a coffee in the fantastic environment. From the fortress you can look out over the mighty North Sea and enjoy the sunset in the ocean. You can also see the island of Getterön and the well-known Kallbadhuset just below the fortress. Varberg's fortress is one of Varberg's foremost historical sites and here you can spend the night, eat and enjoy history from the early Middle Ages at Halland's Cultural History Museum.
