A wise man I knew used to talk about contentment, a feeling that perhaps few people experience daily today. His wise words landed deep within me and in my dream of building a cabin in the woods where people can feel full joy of life and experience our great forests. All to yourself. I want you to love the Swedish forest as much as I do. I´m living on a farm about 4 km from the cabin and work Monday-Friday about 14 km away in Alfta. You will have your own privacy but Im always available for questions and if you need help in some way.

ForRest is a newly built & designed off-grid house with large glass sections that gives you the feeling of being out in the middle of the forest even though you´re indoors. Two separate houses gives you the possibiliyies to stay up to 10 persons. Bring the person or persons who matter most of all in your life and experience the peace and quiet and wildlife in the Swedish forest or use the peaceful place for yoga, meditation or creative creating. Make food indoors on the wood- or gas stove or over an open fire down by the stream. Take the opportunity to fish, pick mushrooms and blueberries right outside the house - the forest offers many pleasures and the range varies with the season. You have the Swedish wildlife just outside the door and this is you own spot. No neghbours or trafic, just the sounds of the trees and the small stream running 100 m below the cottage. The accommodation is comfortable and modern technologies have been used to create an environment with the standard you would expect at home even though it is a long way both to the municipal water supply, and the public net of electricity. The water comes from a source deep in the ground and the electricity comes from the sun's rays.

The cabin is located far from other houses which means total privacy for you. The freedom to roam gives you the right to walk everywhere in the surroundings and to pick and eat what nature gives. The two biggest farms in The world herritage "Farmhouses of Hälsingland" are located in the village.
