ROSA HUSET - egentligen NYSTUGAN – är en gammal gård i byn Osebol i Övre Klarälvdalen. Dess anor går tillbaka till 1600-talet. Nuvarande mangårdsbyggnaden ”NYSTUGAN” byggdes 1907 efter ritningar inspirerade av norsk byggtradition.
Huset har i alla tider varit vitmålat – tills 1989, då huset pietetsfullt totalrenoverats. 16 rum och kök delades samtidigt upp i fem, numera fyra lägenheter. Huset fick då den varma rosa färgen med vita detaljer – därav namnet ROSA HUSET. Dess historia kan läsas i boken ”OSEBOL” av Marit Kapla, vinnare av Augustpriset 2019.
Två av lägenheterna hyrs ut till korttids- och semesterboende.
Osebol är en väldigt liten by. Läget är fridfullt – mycket rymd omkring. Gästerna har tillgång till stor trädgård, stora ytor för aktiviteter, lusthus för avskild avkoppling och samvaro. Husets Vinterträdgård är privat, men kan göras öppet för våra gäster.
Lägenheterna är rymliga och generösa. Inredning och möblering är i harmoni med husets karaktär.
Rosa Huset ägs av designern Istvan Foth som driver verksamheten Recrea AB (www.recrea.com). Gästerna möts och välkomnas av Istvan personligen – eller någon av de närmaste anställda – Johan (son) – Russell – eller Anette. Vi klarar språk – svenska, norska, tyska, engelska, ryska, ungerska, persiska och dari – grannarna talar nederländska, polska…
Läge och omgivning: 200 meter till Klarälven, gångväg till badplats. Mycket natur omkring för promenader, bär- och svampplockning.
På vintern bjuds på längdspår alldeles inpå knuten, för utförsåkning finns Branäs en halvtimma bort norrut, liksom Hovfjället om man åker åt andra hållet, söderut.
Klarälvdalen är en säregen dalgång med älvens sextiotre meanderslingor på en sträcka på ca. tio mil.
Osebol ligger ungefär i mitten på denna sträcka. Dalen erbjuder minnesvärda turer både norrut och söderut – både bilvägen – eller också vattenvägen på älven. Hos Vildmark i Värmland (3 km) finns kanoter att hyra.
Gamla Osebolsbron är numera avstängd. Man kan gå över bron till fots. Närmaste affären ligger på andra sidan älven – man får ta bilen över bron vid Värnäs och sedan tillbaka söderut till Stöllet där affären ligger.
I Värnäskorset finns Mack 45 med butik och restaurang.
