Tagrajska apartment is embedded in app. 400 years old house (renovated) as well as the castle of Ljubljana above. The property enjoys an elevated position on a castle hill and there are 153 stairs up to the apartment (Reber street), or a small road 'Ulica na Grad' and access by car on 'Cesta slovenskih kmečkih uporov' from the other side of the hill. It has charming views upon the garden (castle and the "Old town" as well as the panorama of Slovenia. People say there's a sense of tranquility upon our place and like the spirit - calm feeling they have being around here. Even our friends visiting feel that way. The material of the house is authentic stone and Slovene wood, so I guess that adds up to the natural feeling one has in our company. In summer you can't miss the herbs & roses in the garden, our funny bushes & trees and a chill out feeling of the nature - a few degrees less up here than in the hot summer city center. If it gets too hot, we just put the swimming dress on and sprinkle some water over in the garden. You have both sides of the coin at a reach of your hand: an easy rest in the house or garden, or the city center heat & fun five min. away. We love living here and I wouldn't change it for anything. Please note: NO other visitors except guests that rent the apartment and NO parties are allowed in the apartment or in the garden.

Hi, I'm Uršula, born in Ljubljana and have lived in the neighbourhood ever since. I've been missing from my home town for 3 years, after finishing Ballet school in Ljubljana, I went studying to London Contemporary Dance School, U.K. (University of Kent) and finished my studies with MA in dance performing. Ever since coming back, I've been making my own contemporary dance performances under the name of the dance company "Celinka - društvo ustvarjalk sodobnega plesa" and choreographies for slovene theatres. My regular job is a professor of dance and theatre movement at Ljubljana's Actor's academy (University of Ljubljana). I really enjoy the knowledege about herbs and tees and collect antique furniture, which I renovated and used to design our apartment Tagrajska as well as my own apartment in the house. Creating my garden really relaxes me, where I combine all my interests and knowledge in one place. Not to mention my happines seing the guests enjoying my creations as well!

Our fary tale house is placed in the middle of the castle hill, yet in the old town centre, so you have a bit of a village feelling right in the town centre. Close by is a children's playground, so kids can walk to it in 1 min. A bit further up - 5 min walk a park forest path brings you to the castle of Ljubljana (and the payable car park) with an ancient church, offers exhibitions, 2 nice Restaurants and a Coffe&Cake shop. There is also a good Turist shop and a magnificent view of Ljubljana. You can walk down to the Old town in 5 or take a funicular railway. Ljubljana is a very safe and tourist-friendly place, so we walk around and park our cars quite freely during the day or night. Right down the stairs or by a little road from our house (less than 5 min walk), you'll be in the very centre of the Old town: full of little Shops, Restaurants, Bars and charming Tee&Coffee shops - with 1st class tees and coffees to buy. The habitants of Ljubljana, also like to go to this places and use good things they offer. A stone's throw across the river ljubljanica, which is paralel to the Old town street, there's more places to see & famous architect Plečnik's music&theatre open air venue Križanke.
