Set on a picturesque hillside, the cottage offers sweeping views of the surrounding green landscapes. Inside is thoughtfully designed with a cozy atmosphere, a fully equipped kitchen, and a comfortable living area. For an unforgettable stay, we provide an outdoor grill and a spacious terrace where you can enjoy morning coffee or evening sunsets. If you're looking to explore, we’re happy to recommend nearby hiking trails, historical sites, and family-run vineyards, all showcasing the charm of the Kozjansko region. This home is a peaceful retreat, where you’ll find warmth, tranquility, and a touch of Slovenian heritage.
We’re David, Nina, and our son Martin, and we’re delighted to open our family’s second home to you each summer. This cottage, lovingly restored by grandfather Martin, has been a place of cherished family memories, and we hope it becomes a special part of yours as well. Though we won’t be on-site, we’re available for any questions or recommendations and have ensured the cottage is fully equipped for your comfort.
Martin’s Family Cottage sits just outside the village of Sveti Štefan, surrounded by rolling hills and vineyards. Nearby, you’ll find the town of Šmarje pri Jelšah, known for its rich history, and the Baroque church of Sveti Rok with panoramic countryside views. Kozjanski Park offers scenic hiking and wildlife, while the region’s vineyards provide authentic wine tasting experiences. For a bit of relaxation, the thermal spas of Rogaška Slatina and Podčetrtek are a short drive away. Whether you're here for nature, culture, or simply to unwind, this area offers a perfect escape.
