If you are looking for a small, friendly inn, close to the French Quarter and the music clubs in Frenchmen Street, Chez Palmiers (House of Palms) is the perfect spot for you. Set in a residential neighborhood, our cozy Creole Cottage is ideal for enjoying the best of New Orleans' sights while providing a quiet retreat. We are first and foremost a home. Guests will frequently be greeted by our basset hounds Marge and Mabel. The hounds love to lounge in the dining room at breakfast getting acquainted. Guests share experiences and stories at breakfast, so guests become part of our extended family when they stay with us. Our newly-constructed heated pool and deck will provide an excellent spot to relax. We invite you to our home, to experience the best that New Orleans has to offer.

Our heated pool and roomy deck offer year-round relaxation before and after your days exploring New Orleans. Your host is Betsy Rayner. Betsy's origins are in the heart of corn country, Illinois. After many visits to New Orleans, where daughter Kelly was attending Loyola University, she fell in love with this city. A visit during the onset of Hurricane Katrina, witnessing the goodwill and resilience of residents, sealed the deal. Betsy is joined by basset hound Mabel. Guests will be treated to a wagging tail and a daily croon of affection. Situated in the historic Faubourg Marigny, we are within easy walking distance to the French Quarter. Within our own neighborhood, we have friendly bars and restaurants, ranging from dive bars to white tablecloth style. The St. Claude streetcar line, right at the end of our street, provides a fun way to explore other parts of the city.
