The place is a quintessential 2-story creole cottage with a balcony and overlooking a courtyard. We maintained the old-world charm of the architecture with exposed brick walls & stucco and hardwood floors. Built in 1860, the property was one of the homes of Rosette Rochon, a free woman of color & one of the founders of Fauborg Marigny. Mixing the old and new, furnishings include a glamorous emerald green sofa bed on the first floor and a modern wingback black and white striped king bed on the second floor. There is a television, refrigerator, microwave, kitchen range, and a coffee pot located in the mini-bar/wet bar area with a sink on the first floor. There is also a washer & dryer within the unit. An antique walnut secretary is perfect as a desk during your stay. Step to the balcony & enjoy the twinkle of adorable string lights and the gas lanterns at night. Courtyard is a shared space for the entire property.

This 1860 Creole Cottage in the heart of the Marigny Triangle features a luxurious king bed and a comfortable queen sofa sleeper. We are located 3 blocks away from the lower French Quarter and a block away from Frenchmen street. Frenchmen Street is a hub for live music venues, including Cafe Negril, Favela Chic, Vaso, Apple Barrel, Blue Nile, Snug Harbor, the Spotted Cat, and the Maison. The street is known for its jazz, reggae, and blues music. We are in an ideal location for Mardi Gras, Jazz fest & other amazing New Orleans festivals. Whether it's a refreshing cocktail or a comforting coffee, our spot is close to amazing restaurants, bars & cafes. From Cajun favorites at the best brunch in town, the Ruby Slipper, great coffee & pastries at Ayu Bakehouse to lovely drinks at the Elysian Bar or Bacchanal & scrumptious food at Paladar 511 & N7 {a short jaunt in the Bywater}.
