Stay at Hatcher Pass Cabins where you will experience Alaska's finest log cabins with all the modern conveniences of private bath, kitchen, TV/DVD, and WiFi. Enjoy either the Sourdough Cabins or the larger Grande Cabins. The Sourdough Cabins are full scribed log and sleep between 2-4 guests while the Grande Cabins are a chalet style two bedroom and sleep up to 6 guests. We are nestled at the base of beautiful Hatcher Pass, Alaska and home to a variety of outdoor activities in any season - only 50 miles north of Anchorage, 8 miles from Palmer, and 11 miles from Wasilla. Relax in the comfort and beauty that is yours at Hatcher Pass Cabins. Ask host for advice on what to do and see.
Over 10 years ago Natalie first came to Alaska for work (who doesn’t want a job flying in helicopters around remote Alaska!). She was looking for minerals as an exploration geologist. A couple years later she struck gold when she met her husband, Jeff Kase, working in the town of Chicken, Alaska. Jeff is practically a life-long Alaskan growing up in the Valley who has no plans to leave (as long as the skiing is good). Before buying Hatcher Pass Cabins, Natalie and Jeff lived in their 360-square foot cabin on 20 acres just 3 miles away. Natalie and Jeff love the Fishhook community they live in at the base of Hatcher Pass. Over the last several years they have watched the area grow and interest in Hatcher Pass blossom. They wanted to be a part of sharing their community and backyard playground with others. When the opportunity to continue the business of Hatcher Pass Cabins came up, they immediately knew it was the path they were looking for. Almost every day, no matter the season, Natalie, Jeff, and their husky Panda spend time in Hatcher Pass and throughout the Valley running, hiking, biking, nordic skiing, and backcountry skiing. They enjoy trying to master their
Hatcher Pass is one of South-central Alaska's most popular playgrounds. With skiing, snow machining, and snow boarding in the winter to hiking, sightseeing, berry picking, mountain biking and scenic drives in the summer - Hatcher Pass has it all without all the hustle and bustle of some of the other parts of Alaska!
