Company information

Roamstead was born from a family RV trip across the country. Our founders noticed their glamorous plans often ended in glorified parking lots or dirty campgrounds without amenities or a thought regarding design. Alongside that, it seemed many campgrounds felt unapproachable to those who hadn’t been before. A vision was born to reinvent roughing it in a way that could welcome all adventurers to experience the magic of the great outdoors. We believe the beauty of nature should be experienced by everyone. It's good for your health and the more we connect with and learn about the outdoors, the more we'll feel compelled to protect it. Whether you've been camping all your life or this would be your first trip, we're here for you. We aim to build a bridge (you know, a metaphorical one) to the great outdoors, where all adventures can truly feel welcome.

Property information

Roamstead is a new, modern campground in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. It's located in quiet Cosby, just 25 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg. The property provides lodging options for every type of camper, from RV and tent sites to yurts, cabins, lodge rooms, and even a vintage Airstream trailer. Multiple streams run through the property, which means nearly every site is waterfront. Guests have access to a Lodge with on-site dining, coffee shop, and beverages, as well as a saltwater pool and multiple outdoor gathering spaces for movie nights and games.

Neighbourhood information

Roamstead is located in Cosby, TN. Our property is 25 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg, and 35 minutes from Dollywood. We are adjacent to the Smoky Mountains National Park, and you can even access hiking trails by foot from our property! We're close to 2 of the quieter entrances to GSMNP: Greenbrier and Cosby. At Roamstead, you're minutes from all the adventure the Smokies has to offer, while still enjoying the peacefulness of the mountains.
