The breakfast was great, but the building itself is a magnificent piece of architecture with great history! Plus the exterior grounds are so peaceful with a great porch, and a river in the back! Plus Barbs was a great host.

Company information

Ken, the son of missionary parents, was born and raised in southern Africa in the counties of Zambia and Zimbabwe, while Barb is from Belarus - coming to the USA in 1999. Hospitality has been a way of life for both of us since early childhood days and we are privileged to continue the traditions of serving guests in this beautiful setting.

Property information

The Inn at Ragged Edge is a boutique Bed and Breakfast, located in south central Pennsylvania, minutes away from two major Civil War battlefields - Gettysburg and Antietam. The mansion was built by rail road barron Colonel Moorehead C. Kennedy as his summer residence. Mr. Kennedy's attention to detail and his pursuit of perfection is evidenced throughout the mahogany paneled great room and exquisitely hand carved chestnut staircase. The rooms are large by any B&B standard and each one is uniquely decorated and comfortably appointed. The surrounding property boasts beautifully tended gardens, large wooded areas, a nature trail and the babbling Conococheague Creek.

Neighbourhood information

The Inn at Ragged Edge is close to many things (historical battlefields, museums, colleges, universities, restaurants, antique shops, golfing, skiing, hiking, swimming, camping, concert halls, large cities and shopping malls) yet so close to nature that you can get away from it all and unwind in our quiet, secluded surroundings.
