Agapanthus garden cottage and Aloe garden cottage are two spacious cottages on the same property , set in a well established garden in Grabouw. Both accommodate 2 guests with a double or king bed, open plan layout, patio and braai pit. Both cottages offer free parking, fast Wi fi, complimentary coffee, tea, rusks, snacks, firewood and fresh herbs or fruit. The central location offers guests access to all the wine farms, restaurant, sports events, shops and the weekend Elgin Railway market.
We are curios about life, places and people. We have travelled Africa extensively by motorbikes , overland trucks and an old Series 3 Land rover. We have hiked some big mountains in Nepal, travelled to many places and enjoy long road trips in South Africa. We love living in the heart of the beautiful Elgin valley, surrounded by apple and wine farms. Our huge garden with old oak trees, winter stream and collection of plants keeps us grounded and peaceful.
Our property is part of a quiet, green neighborhood. Most properties have organic gardens, big old trees line the neighborhood, stunning views of the mountains and chickens and children roam freely in the street. Guests are encouraged to walk the 1.6km circle road and enjoy the view. People keep horses and the streets have no streetlights. Yet, we are close to Cape Town, the airport, Hermanus, Franschoek and the Elgin valley boast wine farms and the famous Elgin Railway Market.
