Nestled amongst many deodar cedar trees and an abundance of fruit trees, the vast gardens of Hidden Away boast a variety of plant species such as azaleas, hydrangeas, rhododendrons, clivias and many more. The winding walkways and paths through the forest garden are perfect for early morning meanders taking in that crisp, fresh air, the mountain has to offer.
Beautiful Hogsback is known for indigenous forests, waterfalls, many hiking trails and trout fishing. The large gardens in the surrounding area also include exotic plants from all parts of the world, and it is a destination and tourist attraction among both international and South African tourists. Apart from 'the Hogsback', the tallest peak in the area is the 1 954 m Gaika's Kop. Access to the Amatole Trail can also be found here as well as horse riding, archery, abseiling and so much more.
