Everything was great including the staff. We particularly liked the excellent breakfast and the outdoor seating area in the courtyard and the secure free parking.

If you want to stay in the heart of the Elqui Valley and be nearly as remote as one can be while still having incredible WiFi - this is the spot! We spent one night here but should have booked more. The only tricky piece about this spot is getting here off the main road. While it isn’t a far distance you really should have 4WD. The road is tight and severe switchbacks. You also need to bring in food with you especially if you don’t have a car. Each unit is exquisitely designed to allow you to cook dinners indoors or out with a regular sized fridge and freezer to boot. To say this place is magical might be a vast understatement. We spent the late afternoon hiking up to the scenic lookout (although each unit has its own incredible views and privacy for late nights in the hot tub). We spent the next 2 hours by the pool which given how hot it is actually had cool water for swimming and lovely shaded lounge chairs. We brought in drinks and a pizza with us for our evening and it was perfect. We turned off all the lights and just sat outside watching the moon rise over the mountains as the sunset. After we spent hours soaking in the hotel tub watching more stars appear in the sky. Just magical! The interior is well appointed too with great bedding, linens, towels and vegan shower products that smelled and felt like luxury after having traveled for so long. For breakfast the following morning, we were brought a delicious selection of fresh fruit, granola, yogurt, croissants, cheese and more! Each unit it also outfitted with a tea pot, tea, a moka coffee maker and ground coffee! If we ever have the chance to come back to the Elqui Valley we will 1000% book this spot again! Also - be sure when in the area to book the 3 hours tour and wine tasting at vinedos de alcohauz! The guide essentially gave us the entire history of the area from different stops along the tour that changes in elevation 5 times! The vineyard is magnificent.

The staff was exceptionally friendly, consistently ensuring our comfort throughout our stay. The atmosphere of the place exuded a tranquil vibe, making our brief visit immensely enjoyable. The spa and massage services were also noteworthy, adding an extra layer of relaxation the experience. We couldn't help but wish for a few extra days to fully savor both the calming ambiance and the excellent wellness offerings.

Solar de los Madariaga se nachází v kompletně zrekonstruovaném 140 let starém panském domě ve městě Vicuña a nabízí bezplatné Wi-Fi a snídani zdarma. Solar Madariaga is a peaceful oasis. The grounds were beautifully up kept and the pool was a wonderful. The hotel had the most comfortable bed out of our entire trip in South America. The hotel restaurant was one of the best in town!

Hotel El Milagro is at one of the first patrimonial houses of the area, built around 1910. It features a large garden and an outdoor pool, with panoramic views and breakfast in Pisco Elqui. Room and bed really Cozy, staff was very friendly, the pool was excellent and you can reserve a hot tub and see the stars, they give you a nice welcome pisco sour.

This place is truly a gem. The cottage is really well designed with everything you need, and is tucked away in a beautiful corner among lots of trees and next to a vineyard. The hot tub is definitely worth doing - the sky gets super dark and it’s right under the Milky Way! Michael was also super attentive as a host and gave us great suggestions both for our trip in Elqui valley and for future travels.
