Takes around 10 minutes drive. A 10 minute walk will get you to the beach where there’s a selection of lovely restaurants to choose from. Rooms are lovely clean and very modern. The breakfast is really good quality and a great selection.

We stayed in the Tiny House and loved everything about it. The attention to detail was fab. Surrounded by trees, it felt very secluded and peaceful. The amenities are great, with a great little kitchen, lovely bathroom looking out onto the trees and a very comfy bed upstairs. We loved looking at the cows and birds from the bed. The outside hot tub is sublime. Perfect after the night trek in the forest. The hanging chair on the deck was lovely also. The property also has an incredible sunset viewing deck, complete with fire pit. The owners were brilliant with communication and organising local tours and transport for us. We chose not to have a car as we were only there 2 nights. It was ok. We ordered from Kapi Kapi restaurant and they delivered to the door. The owners also left wine and snacks which was very thoughtful. Would definitely stay again!!!

It is beautifully designed with attention to convenience, scattered with nice art, there are two lovely places to eat metres away, very secure with a guard keeping eye, and the owner Sylvain is super friendly and helpful.

The host Rafael is extraordinarily kind and helpful. He has a dog named Fidel and a "fat", orange cat named Trump. Both are very cute! The house is full of books, chessboards and other cultural assets, which formed a base for intriguing conversations. The house is located at the very edge of the village. It has a beatiful garden with a terrace on which we enjoyed a delicious breakfast. Overall the place has -in the most positive way- a certain "movie-like" feel to it. My girlfriend and I, having planned to go directly from San José to Corcovado national park by bus, our stay in Puerto Jimenez was originally a necessary measure, since there was no connecting bus at the same day we arrived. We ended up enjoying every minute of our stay and Rafael even provided some information about the animal species to be observed in the national park. Overall, I can totally recommend staying at Embassy House and would love to come back any time soon!

Beautiful place, the view is beautiful. They offered us a coconut juice upon arrival. The breakfast was really good, the orange juice was fresh orange juice. There is AC in the tent and a fan, it was cool and smelled really nice. It's surrounded by nature, the shower area was so beautiful, it's outside and you get the full nature experience. There is no bus to el mirador from miramar, so make sure you plan yourself well to get there. I was informed by a local that the taxis from miramar charge 15 000 colones to go to el mirador ( its a 15 minute car ride from miramar to el mirador). If you're leaving from san jose, you have to take a bus from san jose to barranca then you have to take a bus from barranca to miramar. The bus from barranca to san jose, it's roughly 1h30 minutes or 2 hours, depending on the bus and route you take. When we returned to san jose, the bus from miramar to barranca cost us 1000 colones for 2, and the bus from barranca to san jose cost 7000 colones each. It's a very romantic place, we had a good time. Also, make sure you are not bothered by bugs, because at times at night, bugs come inside the tent, spiders, flys, we had to put the AC on and we also closed the lights to prevent more of them from coming inside. If you have anxiety with bugs, spiders, then think carefully, as there will be bugs in the toilet area and inside the tent. It's a unique experience, I really loved it. It was raining when we arrived, so we were laying down, watching the rain, and enjoying the beautiful view. You can see the full moon in the middle of the night, very beautiful moment. Also when you cook, the kitchen is outside, so make sure you buy a mosquito spray because there is a lot of mosquitos in the area or you can just order from local restaurants, cost us 11 000 colones for two meals and that was including delivery.
