I am so glad we found this place, it was the perfect place to come to after a busy couple of days in Cairo ☺️ We loved everything. The food was delicious, the whole place was super clean, and the staff were so kind and helpful. Our room was also upgraded which was a real treat! The bed was comfy and the room was very spacious. Our veranda was overlooking the Nile River so we got to see an amazing sunset. There are also shops on site which were perfect as we did not have time to go into town to do any shopping. I bought perfumed and oils and the lovely shopkeeper was so helpful. If we are ever able to come back to Aswan we will definitely stay here again. A big thanks to Christine for making our stay memorable 😊

Adel always has a very easy and honest smile, just like his entire family. Their 8 year old daughter Nour took us to see the sunset and was very friendly with us and their 12 year old son showed us how to fish in Lake Nasser. Adel was very helpful throughout our stay of just 1 day, keeping us company and giving us valuable tips about shops and activities, about the Nubian people and their homes. He also took us to lunch at a very beautiful restaurant, with Nubian architecture, full of art, where we had one of the best meals in Egypt (beef tajine) with portions suitable for Europeans and the staff was attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to see the sunset or sunrise on Adel's boat, but we recommend this activity to all tourists because Lake Nasser, the surrounding nature and the temples have a unique beauty seen from the water. Adel's house is clean and fragrant, the room is spacious and comfortable. The patio is very relaxing at any time of the day, which makes drinking mint tea, smelling the roses or simply listening to the birds almost a sacred moment.

The views are spectacular (Nile and Philae Temple), the terrace with jet pool and incredible reprieve from the heat, the staff best of the best, we could not have asked for more. Loved so much we stayed 3 extra days! The spa is fantastic and overall the place just so relaxing and calm. One of the best parts is the adopted rescue pup ‘Hummous’ 🙂 What a sweetheart! Love, love, love this place.

Sofitel Legend Old Cataract se nachází v nubijské poušti na břehu Nilu, naproti ostrova Elephantine. Nabízí elegantní pokoje a apartmá a venkovní i kryté bazény. We were very excited to stay at the hotel given its impressive history. We were blown away by how beautiful it is. You feel like you have stepped back into the Victorian-era with the archaeologists and famous guests who have stayed at the hotel. You can also tour Agatha Christie's / Winston Churchill's rooms for free (if they are not occupied by guests). Our room was spacious, clean, modern, comfortable and beautifully furnished. The room was cleaned daily and the staff always ensured we had plenty of water. The hotel has stunning views of the Nile and Elephantine Island from basically anywhere on the property. Since it's located right on the Nile, we found it very easy to hop on to a felucca or boat to take us around. There are plenty of taxis around on the road-side of the hotel too. There is also an ATM on site, which is helpful. There is a very helpful concierge on site to help arrange tours if needed. We enjoyed delicious dinners at all of the restaurants at the hotel, including the stunning 1902 restaurant. Breakfast was also fantastic - diverse and plentiful. The kitchen can also make you lunch boxes to take away with you on your daily adventures. We toasted our days exploring Aswan at the gorgeous bar. The service from each staff member we encountered was just outstanding - everyone was warm, friendly, attentive, helpful and went out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable stay. We enjoyed watching the sunset while swimming in the pool, and we even managed to fit in some exercise at the modern and well-equipped gym. We ended up having to stay an extra night because a sandstorm prevented us from catching our flight to Cairo - the staff were so helpful and even upgraded our room for free. We highly recommend this hotel and cannot wait to return!

Kamel House poskytuje zahradu, terasu a nepřetržitě otevřenou recepci. Aga Khan Mausoleum je 15 km odtud. We loved this place, so unique and beautiful and the hospitality was fantastic! Staff went out of their way to help us. We would like to say a special thanks to Mohammed the driver who helped us out when we were stuck, also to Fatima for cooking us dinner late at night when we didn’t have time to eat. We would love to come back again and spend longer next time.

This place is just so beautiful. The staff especially were very friendly and accommodating. The food was also incredible at the restaurant. We were unsure about the location, but it's so peaceful being a bit more remote and free tuk tuks are available to the village which made getting around easier.

Nubian Holiday House Aswan se nachází v destinaci Asuán a nabízí ubytování s zahradou, neplaceným soukromým parkovištěm, sdíleným loungem a terasou. Aga Khan Mausoleum je 7,6 km daleko. The place in reality is much better than how it is presented in the pictures. There are also two sunbeds in the common area. There is also a tv, but without English channels. Rooms are quite (no noise from the street) and have been recently renovated. Of course you hear the boats in the Nile and the nearby mosque. Furniture is simple but nice. Normally it is difficult to find in Egypt such a charming place presented in a simple way. Taking the ferry to Aswan is very simple and super cheap. In the village when you walk everybody says hello and welcome. You feel super safe. In this Aswan is very different... It is also safe but turists are harrassed. Frankly we liked very much this place.
