The location is very central and easy to walk around the town. The staff was so very pleasant and helpful! They helped get us dinner reservations during the busy Ascension holiday weekend. Wonderful breakfast in the spacious downstairs. ample parking on the grounds. No elevator, but an easy climb up the wide spiral staircase, plus, we were helped with the luggage on arrival. The garden was lovely to lounge in. Our room was spacious and delightfully decorated.

We stayed on our way to catch the ferry home from Caen. It was very easy to find and a stunning property steeped in history. The rooms were fascinating and we felt welcomed by Joseph and Ogen who were friendly and explained the history and restoration of the property which dates from 1260. The rooms that we stayed in had a modern shower bathroom between them and beautifully soft bathrobes and large towels were provided. We requested the evening meal and it was the best food we had eaten on our entire holiday, we were also asked for any dietary requests as well. Creatively prepared leek vinagrette opened the meal, local vegetables and deliciously moist cod for the main course and the meal finished with fresh strawberries and homemade Chantilly cream. They had a fully stocked bar which complemented the meal. It was a truly unique stay and would love to return when the weather would allow us to use the outdoor pool! We had breakfast the next day which consisted of fresh croissants and jam and Ogen also made some divine scrambled eggs with chives.

A beautiful evening meal completed with the best wines and great service.A truly unique and tranquil experience the only problem was we only booked one night!! We will be back next year if they will have us!! We travelled with our 3 children they loved the pool and the fantastic location and experience from the local cows who reside in the neighbouring field,to the very best cuisine from the local area. I miss our fantastic hosts already!

Wonderful welcome from Sophie and Gilles and the whole place was superb. An amazing breakfast full of many homemade treats (yogurts, jams etc). The accommodation was excellent, and located in a beautifully quiet area of countryside.

Nádherný dům na klidném místě. Naprosto skvělí a přátelští hostitelé Anne-Sophie and Pascal. Při další návštěvě Clermont-Ferrand se zde určitě opět ubytujeme.

Chambre d'hôte Le jardin des Thermes se nachází ve Vichy v regionu Auvergne a nabízí zahradu. Palais des Congrès-Opéra de Vichy se nachází 700 metrů daleko a Vlakové nádraží Gare de Vichy 1,2 km. I had visited Vichy a few years ago and found it well worth a second visit. The guesthouse is situated in a fin-the-siècle (not the last one of course) villa just outside of the stunning spa complex and a few minutes' walk from the Allier river. Warm welcome by nice host who showed us around, Cosy, spacious room, nice lounge where you can prepare and eat your own meals. If there are other guests (there weren't) you share the lounge with them. Hygiene 100%. Good beds, shower a bit underpowered but nothing to complain about really. Adequate breakfast. Host would have been glad to look after our luggage until we left in the afternoon, but unfortunately had to leave for the day herself; her friend at the supermarket across the street was so kind to keep our bags, which is saying something about the atmosphere here. Easy, straightforward 15 minutes walk from the train station. Tip: follow the Avenue de Paris from the station and not the Gambetta as suggested by Google, not that it's bad but the Paris is much nicer and perhaps 10 seconds slower. Recommended.
