The cave bedroom was an exceptional experience. We were lucky as it was the Festa della Bruna in Matera, it was also a wonderful experience to see this spectacular festival. We even saw the firework display from our room.

Giuseppe was a wonderful host making sure we were taken care of. Made lunch reservations and when we woke up we had fresh local pastries and mine gluten free waiting for us Will definitely be going again.

Staying at MOYΣEION felt like stepping back into the world of Magna Graecia. The welcome ritual performed by Davide made the whole experience really special and set the tone for our stay. The service was outstanding, the staff incredibly helpful, and the cave pool was just breathtaking—my friend Pete especially loved the statues surrounding it. The togas, rituals, and attention to detail made the whole visit immersive and memorable. I also recommend booking an Ape Car tour through the front desk when you arrive—it’s the perfect way to explore Matera. Plus, if you call ahead, they’ll even arrange a pickup from the bus station, which is really convenient.

Aiaga La dimora di Don Antonio asub Materas, 700 meetri kaugusel Matera katedraalist, MUSMA muuseumist ja Tramontano lossist. Good location close to the city centre and the cave houses (Sassi). Donna Lina room has a wonderful jacuzzi! Very friendly staff, garage availability right next to the apartment (25 euro per day).

Offering city views and a garden, Giardini di Luce features accommodation situated conveniently in Matera, within a short distance of Matera Cathedral, MUSMA Museum and Tramontano Castle. Beautiful room in the Sassi. So comfortable and stylish. Absolutely spotlessly clean. Slept like a log both nights. We had a wonderful breakfast both mornings and our hostess Brunella was extremely friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend Giardini di Luce if you’re staying in beautiful Matera.

The host helped us change the room as the first one was smaller than our needs. It was clean and close to the tourist attractions. Breakfast was very good!

This accomodation was perfect, everything was fantastic. The hotel was close to everything, the breakfast was good, the rooms were nice and really clean and the hosts were nice and friendly. We would definitely come back.
