16 km from Tsugaike Kogen Ski Area in Hakuba, 白馬の黒馬 DarkHorse @Hakuba offers accommodation with access to a hot tub and spa facilities. Fantastic hosts, so accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. They literally drove us to the slopes every day and picked us up. They even drove us to Nagano to catch the train back to Tokyo at the end of our stay. The accommodation has been decorated and furnished to a very high standard and is super modern. To get the best from this property, get stuck in and meet the other guests, it's such a relaxed, fun atmosphere. Noise levels drop by 10pm to ensure a peaceful night sleep and the breakfast/ food it's awesome. Thanks for the fabulous welcome to all the staff at Dark Horse.

Beautiful accommodation with excellent facilities. Plenty of space and very comfortable for bigger groups or families. Concierge team started a whatsapp chat group a day prior to check in and were responsive throughout our stay with any questions we had.

Incredibly beautiful space and location. Every detail of Yui-an is thoughtful and delightful. Very nice view of the mountains as well.

The meal was just incredible. Each meal is special, with many local and seasonal ingredients. This gives a proper traditional Japanese meal experience in my opinion, with plenty different textures and tastes. The scenery is breathtaking, with Mt. Ontake. There are free drinks available in the lounge, and the onsen is really big, with two outside baths. The staff is really nice and can speak decent english.

Yorozuya asub Yamanouchis, 4,1 km kaugusel Jigokudani ahvipargist ja 10 km kaugusel Ryuoo suusapargist. Majutusruumides on istumisnurk. Just wow, beautiful location, amazing food, the staff were lovely. Not sure you could find anything more traditional. A really awe inspiring experience. The onsen was soo beautiful. A shame that the men get the most time in the Momoyama section as it is jaw droppingly beautiful and would be so cool to watch the day break from there. Great that you can take photos in the morning before you depart. So atmospheric at night. Not touristy at all and full of locals. Scrub up on your Japanese before you go!

Majutusasutus Pension Tomato asub Hakuba Happo-One Winteri suusakuurordist 10-minutilise autosõidu kaugusel. Külalisi ootavad avarad lääne stiilis toad, kus on pööninguala. Love it. Super friendly hosts who helped us a lot, offered to pick us up, take us to hire gear at echoland (with discount at affiliated store), take us to deliver our luggage and send us to the station upon checking out. Booked restaurants for us too since we didn't have a local phone number. Thank you so much! Great accommodation, very cosy and nice atmosphere, vending machine inside, 2 onsen rooms (one of which has an outdoor onsen too, very nice in the snow) which can be used privately by booking each day. Drying room for ski gear is very convenient. Short walking distance (<5 min) to free local bus stop to goryu, happo, iwatake and also to echoland base camp for the hakuba valley shuttle. Buses only run a few each day and finish pretty early, best to not miss the last one as getting a taxi can be a pain! Breakfast needs to be booked by 10am from the previous day, but it's amazing, highly recommended.
