Located in a 100 year-old Registered Tangible Cultural Property, Ryokan Hostel K's House is located in Shizuoka, a 7-minute walk from JR Ito Train Station. The location was perfect for us. Staff are very helpful. Amazing Ramen place the other side of the bridge. Best in Ito.

The staff was SO friendly, dinner and breakfast were amazing and the place itself was new and tidy. Our room also had insanely nice views to the mountains. We will be back! WOW. This was a shot in the dark booking since I couldn’t find a place near the beach that was tattoo friendly. We were blown away at the facility, amenities and overall beauty of the location. I booked 3 rooms. Everyone had their own private onsen bath. My husband and I upgraded to the sauna barrel room and we LOVED IT. The guys all did sauna in the morning. They even give you handmade authentic sauna hats. Breakfast was simple but filling. Half of the group did the Japanese style, half did American. My jumbo toast made me feel like I was in a Ghibli movie having breakfast. There is a vending machine in the breakfast area was a variety of snacks and drinks. Our van made it on the roads to the property. So a standard vehicle will have no issue. Beautiful creak flowing in the backyard of every room. Every room has an entrance, toilet & sink room, living room (doubles as bedroom bc you have tatami beds), vanity sink & rack, THEN sliding door to your shower & bath, THEN sliding door to your porch with seating. Our room had the barrel immediately to the left of the porch with ANOTHER outdoor tub. Price was excellent!!

We arrived at the hotel on the complimentary shuttle bus from Gotemba which was super easy to arrange over email. We had a Fuji view from our room which stunning when it wasn't raining. The onsen was perfect especially the outdoor area that looks over Fiji. The staff were so attentive and professional and helped with my golf booking at the club round the corner. The breakfast was amazing and the Japanese restaurant, Robata Oyama, was stunning and one of the best dining experiences I've had.

The owner and his mother were so kind, they gave us many advice and news about the current event and matsuri. The house is a lovely japanese one with a nice view on the river. It was very big and comfortable for our family. All necessary equipment (bath, laundry, towels, kitchen..);and also nice gifts 😁. It also work like a small conbini as you can buy noodle, drinks whatever you need in the house.

We used Takayama as a base to explore the Japan Alps. The house was very comfortable, with all amenities and the parking space was very useful. Communication with the owner was always good. We would stay again!

I would say this is a hidden gem for a non japanese speaking tourist. Its quite far from popular destination but everything about this inn so so perfect. The hospitality, the cleanliness, the food, all of those are superb. Not to mention the onsens. We got to choose different private onsen room, one of them is jacuzzi! Cant praise this inn enough. We were so happy, even my wife started to cry when we had to leave this property. Definitely will recommend to other travelers.
