Fabulous chalet ("chalet" doesn't do it justice, perfect for those who appreciate 70's/80's architecture with high ceilings and 45 degree angles. The 12-year-old called it "awesome" and said he wanted to live there forever). Two large bedrooms each with a huge ensuite, big well-equipped kitchen and convenient in-chalet laundry. Amazing outlook from large windows in all the rooms. Thoughtfully furnished. Lovely gardens and expansive balconies. A pool house which we didn't use, but good advice from the hosts on the best hot baths in town. Really helpful communication from the hosts, timely and upbeat, nothing too much trouble.

Easy checkin and chackout process. Accacia bay is located 6min drive from Taupo center, it is very quiet and relaxing spot. We had a room with a view on the lake and we could use jacuzzi provided by the host which was great. Room is big , bed very comfortable, big size kitchen and small bathroom however host offered bigger one - for us it was more than enough. Host - Don is very friednly and supportive. If I could I would stay longer.

Well equipped B&B in a convenient location for the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. Very friendly hosts who greeted us in check-in and ensured we had everything we needed. The hot tub was a wonderful bonus made even better by the clear nights sky and beautiful stars.

Just 300 metres from the lakefront of Waipahihi Bay, Little Haven offers an outdoor swimming pool and a hot tub. The self-contained apartments feature a fully equipped kitchen and a flat-screen TV. Worth every penny spent. It was really nice property with swimming pool, spa pool, small kids playground, table tennis and pool table.

Located on the shores of Lake Taupo, Anchorage Resort offers rooms with free unlimited WiFi access and views of either the pool or the lake. The de luxe room was bigger than what we expected. It has a beautiful lake and pool view. The hot pool was nice. You also have your own parking. You have kitchen stuff needed if you would like to cook something. Beds are comfy and all have warming blanket (perfect because of the season). There is a heater in the room besides the heat pump in the lounge. The lounge is spacious. It is actually nice to stay and relax here the whole day.

The Reef Resort Motel offers self-contained accommodation on the edge of the Lake Taupo. The property features an outdoor heated freshwater pool and a thermal pool with a hot tub. Lovely accomodating staff. Room clean, good facilities. Nice location.

This home was absolutely stunning! Clean, well equipped, comfy and warm! We LOVED everything about this home. Was so hard for us to leave this home made us feel so much at home. I could go on and on about how amazing our stay was but we will most definitely be booking again in the near future.
