The owners went out of their way to be helpful and efficient - very nice people. We loved the pool and surrounding decks and the view of the river Douro was spectacular. A very nice breakfast was offered in a very pleasant room with the same wonderful view.

The staff are attentive and helpful. We arrived at 3pm and were able to have lunch and a drink on the patio enjoying the views up and down the river. Our room was very comfortable and clean with a large sliding door out onto a deck from where we could enjoy the views and a welcome drink. The pool was nice and refreshing to swim in after a day exploring. Breakfast was really nice with cooked on demand option of eggs and bacon along with a continental selection. The bed was comfortable with lovely bedding on it and the bathroom was very clean and serviced daily. Hint - it is difficult to find places to eat in the small township during the week that are open, we chose to eat in two out of three nights, the food was well cooked and tasty but not spectacular and on par with everything else in the area price / standard / recipie wise.

Eduardo was very helpful and communicative. The breakfast was outstanding with a good choice of continental, fruit, omelettes and pastries.

Casa do Prado is a lovely place to stay. It was a relaxing room with great bathroom and outside was the garden and fabulous pool. The owners are delightful. They provided an excellent breakfast.

Offering an outdoor pool and hot tub, Douro Suites is situated in Baião in the Norte Region Region, 43 km from Porto. The accommodation boasts a spa bath. Guimarães is 41 km away. Fabulous welcoming by friendly and helpful staff. We were lucky to be proposed a free upgrade to their suite which was an absolutely beautiful accommodation wtih Jacuzzi, Terasse and all. The Douro Suites' garden peaceful garden, library blend perfectly with the stunning river & region itself.
