Surrounded by a forest, Rush Creek Lodge at Yosemite features a heated outdoor pool, and children's playground. The accommodation features two hot tubs. We were delighted with this place! The two bedroom villa with balcony suited our fam of four perfectly. Only one bathroom but we managed with our two teenage girls. Balcony with two rocking chairs getting the late afternoon sun after a beautiful long day hiking at the Park was idyllic, the pool, the hot tubs, roasting marshmallows and the smore kits they provide at the fire pits, great drinks at the bar, comfortable and relaxed and generous atmosphere - there are games and books for kids and grownups in the rooms, no tvs and good WiFi which is essential as there is very poor or no phone reception- comfortable beds, spacious, in mid-April it’s got a fair number of families but apparently still pretty calm compared to high season in summer - so there is a nice friendly community feeling but also plenty of privacy - we don’t want to leave!

There is a restaurant attached but it was closing when we arrived. The hotel does not offer breakfast. The rooms were spacious (we had a 2 queen beds room), the bathroom was clean and the ammenities nice. The hotel lobby is very beautiful too. The hotel is very well located so we were able to walk around town. The hotel offers complimentary parking outside its premises. The staff recommended us a nice place to have breakfast and it was great (The Belgian Cafe).

Located on the shores of Pismo Beach, Pismo Lighthouse Suites boasts a putting green and a year around outdoor pool and hot tub. This dog-friendly accommodation features suites with free WiFi. The hotel is close to the beach with an amazing view, and the place itself is cute and comfortable. The breakfast is good, we love the pancake and porridge.

Offering rooms with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and free WiFi access, the Inn at the Cove features an on-site heated pool and hot tub. Pismo Beach Pier and city centre are 3.2 km away. Lovely location and nice to sit on the balcony and watch the sunset. We only stayed for one night as was a stop off as we were driving through California but would stay again, staff were lovely too.

Close to Universal City, home of more than 50 shops and restaurants, this hotel in North Hollywood, California offers contemporary amenities such as free wireless internet and an on-site restaurant. Loved the pool area and a hotel bar is always a great bonus for travellers. The shuttle to Universal Studios was great and saved parking fees at the park. The staff were fantastic and the cost wasn't bad relative to alternatives albeit it certainly isn't cheap. Great location for Universal and Warner Bros. The onsite restaurant is also a decent and convenient option.
