This is a beautiful hotel with incredible staff. Every employee we encountered was friendly and helpful every step of the way. It is located steps away from Byward Market where you will find restaurants and pubs to suit every taste, and just minutes away from Parliament Hill. Everything is within walking distance.

Location was great. Byward market is literally beside the hotel. Lots of food options and very nice to walk around. Nice view of the canal. Hotel was AMAZING. Huge hotel and very clean and grand. Really feel like its worth your money. We managed to get connecting rooms as per our request which was amazing. Service was very friendly and a great experience overall. Would 100% stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay in the Lord Elgin. The staff in reception and the restaurant are superb. They are very helpful and professional. Three of us used the restaurant for breakfast for five days and it was always excellent and the staff really are brilliant. The beds are comfortable and the room was quiet. The location of the hotel is great. The Canadian War museum and the Canada Aviation and Space museum should not be missed. The only negative for us is that there is not a supermarket nearby. I would definitely stay here again though.

    Our stay at the Sheraton Ottawa was wonderful! The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was a bit dated but was so clean that it didn't matter. Location was perfect. Walking distance to parliament, Byward market area, the Rideau Canal, museums and many other attractions. The valet attendants were courteous and service was quick. The staff at the hotel were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious! We definitely recommend this hotel.

    The location was great, it was walking distance from the museums, the parliament, the Rideau Canal and all the main attractions. Parking is available behind the building and the neighborhood was quiet. I didn’t bring my dog this time, but is is also pet friendly and there was a nice park around the block.

Good restaurant as part of the hotel, and plenty of places to eat along Elgin street. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was large and had everything you could need. This hotel also has good laundry facilities.

    This hotel in downtown Ottawa is close to everything, Parliament Bldgs, Byward Market, Rideau Canal. The room was quite large and very quiet, and the decor new and modern. The cafe downstairs serves the best Americanos.

    Perfect spot to go to skate in the Rideau Canal. They also rent skates if needed. The room was clean. Good breakfast, they had fresh bagels. The staff was kind, we could leave our luggage and use common spaces after checkout. The jail tour included in the stay is a nice one.

    The location is excellent. We left our car in the parking garage for 2 days and walked everywhere - museums/shopping/restaurants and the Rideau Canal Skateway. I really like that there was a small fridge in the room which we used. Bed and bath linens were good quality/clean. Everything was very good which we expected for a 4 star hotel. We would stay here again for a short stay.

    During dusk, go to where the Rideau Canal gates are and sit on the ledge to over look the Ottawa River. It's a spectacular view with the sunset, river and city lights. It's definitely a romantic feeling to be in.
