The hotel is a beautiful property really well decorated. It’s a great place to chose if you have kids. The owner is very welcoming and helpful and her husband cooks delicious Chinese meals. The entrance to the Great Wall is at about 2 minutes walk from the hotel.

Adequate facilities: breakfast next door at Marriot and ordered by your table before busy hours, a good German restaurant in the hotel, a modern shopping mall next door with a few good restaurants too and a small kitchen area in your room; a free gym, a billiards room, a table tennis room, free mountain bikes, mountain views outside your window, and a river Parker at the city center, 10 mins away by bikes.

The service at the Brickyard was exceptional. A special mention to Stanley who helped us with any question we had. Nothing was too much trouble for him and the team - he sorted our transfers to and from the wall, arranged our transport to our villa. We were in a 4 bedroom house the village which was very clean and spacious It was a 10-15 minute walk from the Brickyard. Recommend the Chinese restaurant in the village which was part of the Brickyard. Location was great with lovely views but what made our break was the super service.
