Excellent location, close to Beamish Museum. Very pleasant staff and well appointed, clean accommodation. The bed was very comfortable and the large copper bath was amazing. For classic car enthusiasts there are two excellent showrooms nearby. The hotel provides a delicious breakfast with a variety of options. The views from the conservatory were beautiful.Would definitely recommend a stay here.

The best thing about this hotel was the landlady, Sue. She was so keen to make our stay as comfortable as possible and worked very hard to accommodate whatever we needed. She accommodated my husband's need for a gluten free breakfast. The rooms and ensuite bathrooms were clean and spacious. There was a reasonable choice for breakfast. (The hotel didn't do evening meals.) It was very handy for the Beamish Museum.

Very nice location, The Hotel is very nice and the staff are very friendly and helpful, We ate in the Restaurant and we all enjoyed the food and the service. We travelled as a group of 9 bikers and the Hotel and Staff are very accommodating for bikers for parking and they allocated us space for storage during the day to leave our riding gear whilst we visited the Beamish Museum
