Really awesome and friendly reception from Santo, we felt welcome. It was close to forum even with view over forum and the beautiful city if you stood at the window. We could walk everywhere, they don't have breakfast but there is a small snark bar next to, with amazing coffee and "snaks" would recommend doing like Roman's and eat standing in there, sitting down with service costs more 😉

Great location, super close to the colosseum and the Trevi fountain. The tram to the Trastevere district is a 5 minute walk away. The rooms are well sized and stylishly furnished. The staff are also incredibly helpful, whether it’s booking a taxi or attractions or tips on where to eat, they’re always there to help. The views of the colosseum and the Vittoriano from the rooftop bar are also spectacular.

Roman Forum

More palace than museum, El Prado is a true cultural treasure trove. Its hallowed halls hold one of the world’s finest collections of European art, from the fantastical figures of Bosch’s Garden of Earthly Delights to the dark, twisted beauty of Goya’s legendary Black Paintings. It needn’t cost the Earth either – in the evenings entrance is usually free.

Be prepared for a long walk. It is worth it. Make sure you have water with you, as there is very little shade, and in summer it gets very hot. The day we went, it was 40 degrees celsius. From here you can easily walk to the Coliseum, but make sure that you have prebooked tickets to both

Gone are the days of strolling through the Forum and sitting as the ancients did among the temples and spirits, remains of daily pre-modern life. But if you can take the time to get into the Forum in a quiet, personal way, it is an experience worth having. As a tourism tour, not so much. Try to enjoy ancient Rome quietly and peacefully, on your own with time and space to receive from it.

The staff were absolutely excellent, very polite, available and very helpful. We travelled with our two primary school-aged boys, and the room felt spacious compared with other hotel rooms. The bathroom was lovely. It was clean, quiet, and the location was absolutely perfect - easy walking distance to the Pantheon, and a 25min walk to the Colosseum and Roman Forum. We would definitely stay here again.

Really good location, only a 10 minute walk from the colosseum. Roman forum also very good walking distance. Lots of good food places around. Bus, tram and metro stations right outside/just across the road. Garden bar and breakfast buffet were both amazing. Really good range of food at breakfast. Felt super clean and tidy. Free luggage storage was also great. Overall very good would definitely recommend!

Buy the ticket for Colloseum at the enterence to Forum Romanum and Palatin, you will avoid giant line (3 attractions cost altogether 12 euro)! FAst track ticket for the VAtican Museum is also good idea (we did it), you can buy at the enterence to the St. Peter's Basilic. It is quite expensive, but it helps you to avoid huge line and to see both attractions during one day.
