This was the perfect location for our first visit to Florence. Great location a stone's throw from Ponte Vecchio, 20 mins walk from train station and right in the heart of everything to see in the city centre. The breakfast was so fresh and delicious and the staff very friendly. I had 2 lovely sweets on my pillow each day on return and the room was beautiful. There was a selection of different pillows to choose from to suit your liking and the bed linen was very cosy. My wife and I would recommend to anyone!

Ponte Vecchio

Peruse the shops perched above the River Arno on this pedestrian bridge. Dating back to 972, its history is the stuff of storybooks. Ponte Vecchio’s seen it all from noble feuds to ruinous floods. Once a market where vendors sold meat, the smell of raw flesh tossed in the Arno disgusted the Medici dukes. Today’s retailers are much less carnivorous (they’re jewellers).

If you can take the special tour along the secret passage from the Uffizi to the Pitti Palace. The walkway is along the windows atop the Ponte Vecchio. If shopping for gold jewelry etc. along the Ponte Vecchio, be sure to shop around.

Ponte Vecchio is an amazing spot to buy jewelry from jewelers that have been in the business for centuries. The price of gold is standardized so not much point going from each place to ask about the price of gold, instead find a store that specializes in what you're looking for and has the style you like. Some places specialize in gems, others gold, others vintage pieces.

Go really early for great photos without crowds or sunset and night. Bellisimo. Be careful when walking over the bridge in the day as it gets very crowded and artists put their drawings on the ground and if you walk on it, you buy it!

You have to buy something from 18-karat gold here☺️! It’s not cheap but gold is tradition in Florence ( and leather). But be prepared that it’s only not crowded in the morning (when only few shops are open though).

Our hotel was adjacent to this attraction so we had a daily view of it. The photo shown by booking.com does not resemble what it looked like in December. The bridge itself is wall to wall jewellery shops. A good time to visit is before or after they close. The shop fronts change back to the original wooden frontage and makes for a good photo.

The location was AMAZING. It’s literally next to everything, the duomo (10-15 min walk), Santa Croce (5 min!!) and ponte vecchio!! And outside of the apartment there are shops and it’s a lovely place. It was super comfortable as well!

Every attraction was under 10 mins walk. Tucked inside a gorgeous ancient street opposite a church with the Ponte Vecchio on corner! Loved the green metal staircase and original ceiling beams. Cosy vintage furniture with the most stunning light in the apartment. Bathroom is newly refurbed, modern, clean.

The apartment was neat and tidy in the heart of Florence at the Ponte Vecchio. The receptionist provided all the information, suggested places to park the car. We were allowed to leave the luggage at the property before check in time. The kitchen is equipped with pots, utensils, a coffee machine, a fridge.

The location was spectacular- an 11 minute walk from the station yet right by the duomo, about 8 minutes from the Uffizi and Ponte Vecchio. We were delighted to find a spacious room with a clean bathroom. There was little else to do within the actual hotel but downstairs was a bar and restaurant (quite pricey) but the location MORE than made up for this!!

This is a very nice apartment, just fine for 8 (6+2 kids) in a quiet area and incredibly well located: 5/10/15 minutes walking and you're wherever you want - Duomo, Academia, restaurants, Ponte Vecchio.... On the top, Edoardo is a very nice host and was always available (before, during and even after the check out).

The room was clean, and cool during the summer heat thanks to the airconditioning! We liked the fact we could leave our rental car in the private parking of the hotel, and keep it there also for some time after check-out. The breakfast in the lovely backyard was good and overall we had a short but wonderful stay 😊 We liked that we could walk to Ponte Vecchio and the city centre in around 30 minutes.
