What a nice little cozy stay. We were very early so our luggage was stored and we were given delicious flat whites. Luggage was taken up for us. Really enjoyed the use of the pool. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Excellent location for CBD and waterfront

    The room was big enough and central for what we needed to do...

    The room was big enough and central for what we needed to do for our fleeting overnight trip to Auckland. However parking to check in was confusing and the lady at the desk was very confusing in her instructions on where the included parking was for the room - we had to then check with another person after we checked in who was very helpful.

    The view was wonderful.

    The view was wonderful. However the third party online seller -Trip advisor didn’t send the ticket as soon as we completed the payment. It took hours and an email before they sent it so we had to purchase them on the site. Don’t use the online seller as they don’t refund the money you paid even if it was their inefficiency that was the issue! Can’t believe they don’t refund when ticket wasn’t used! Leaves a bad taste to the tourists!!!

    I've been past there many times, but never went up to the observation decks until I was in NZ with a friend from overseas. The views are really great, and it is the best place by far to get your bearings in sprawling Auckland (which, by land area at least, is one of the largest in the world). You can also do a bungee jump from the exterior walkway, which is quite exciting simply to watch.

    Gorgeous view, check the weather during booking times and go before, during and after sunset if you can to maximise the experience. If dining up in Sky Tower, book about half an hour before sunset, enjoy the viewing platform for up to 45 mins before your booking (we only needed 20 to be satisfied) for free and then finish of with a meal during the sunset. In the lift, look down and watch the weight in the pulley system move away from you whilst ascending. Clear your nasal passages and look in to jaw movement (chewing gum for most) to release pressure with difference in metres above sea level and how that affects the sinuses.

    The room was clean and modern and we were given a room with the sky tower view!! Staff were friendly. Our plan included breakfast for 2 adults and they were so kind to give our kids (both 9 years old) free breakfast too! Breakfast was good too. I particularly like their fruit juices such as the apple and ginger juice which was really delicious and the beetroot one which I forgot what it was mixed with but it was very refreshing. And the coffee was freshly brewed.

    The location was perfect for what we had planned for the holiday, walking distance to the harbour ,sky tower, Spark arena, hop on hop off bus and train station. The apartment was very spacious and well equipped the bedrooms were large and comfortable the shower was hot and powerful and had a heated towel rail so the towels were cosy. The view from the balcony was lovely the sky tower in the background.

    This is my favourite hotel to stay at in the Auckland CBD. It's a great location next to Albert Park and Chancery Square within walking distance to lots of restaurants. Whether I'm just with my husband or we have our kids with us, the indoor pool, spa pool and sauna with views of the Sky Tower really make this place for us. Almost all the rooms have amazing views and some with balconies, as well as kitchenettes. It's always one of the more affordable options too.

    Location, room and bed, and view of sky tower were superb. Pamela, who oversaw the continental breakfast in the dining room was so welcoming. Every morning she asked us about our sightseeing trips around auckland and was generally interested in what we were doing that day. A real asset and valuable team member for the hotel. She deserves recognition from management.

    It was a five-star hotel, and it definitely felt like it! Funny enough, I booked it around 1am half asleep without even realising it was five-star, but even still Horizon exceed our expectations, it is luxury! Seriously. Exceptionally tidy, with helpful and friendly staff. The minibar was a hit with our little family, and the Skybridge to the Sky Tower was such a beautiful feature. We’ve found our go-to hotel from now on! I can’t wait to stay again!

    We loved the welcoming vibe of the staff! They went above and beyond to make our 6yr old feel very special on his birthday. He will be talking about his first hotel experience for a long time to come! Rooms were great and beds very comfortable. Buffet breakfast was delicious!     Host Ian was very helpful on our arrival to the hotel! By phone he explained the hotel check in process which made it much easier for us. The hotel apartment was very lovely and comfortable also the facilities at the hotel (pool, gym, spa) was top tier. Location was super handy it was only a hop skip and away from the sky tower, bars and eaterys. I would definitely stay here again. 👍
