This place is super clean, the staff are ridiculously nice and accommodating. You're a 20 min walk from Baleal, but at that price you can't really complain and the food in ferrel was better anyway.

What can I say... it was actually perfect! Our hosts were great at checking we were happy with everything. They answered our questions and were super kind. They brought us freshly picked giant lemons and were lovely from the second we booked up til our day of departure. The apartment is so spacious, perfect location, all the facilities you could need and more!

Great location and wonderful vibe, the staff were really friendly and would 'introduce' each newcomer to those already in the hostel, and it had a really inclusive and fun atmosphere, great for solo travellers like me. It felt more like a home than a hostel, good kitchen set up and comfy rooms. I was recommended this place by another traveller and it didn't disappoint!
I could easily live here. The town is small and modern and not one of the historic venues that Porto or Lissabon offers but it has all the amenities that one can possibly look for. The relaxed surfing attitude and the pristine beaches make this a delight to visit. Our objective had just been to visit the beach as we reside in a land locked country and this place could not have been more perfect. The surf was a delight to watch and the air and beaches were clean. The people are friendly and the atmosphere was extremely relaxed.

I went to Baleal with the intention of surfing, and I could surf multiple times a day with some great waves. A week was too short. Keep in mind, I was in Baleal in January. The average air temp was 15c and the sea temp was 16.
It was quiet in the ocean and I could surf almost alone during the day. At the end of the day, after 4 PM the locals head into the water.
Perfect week in January for a surf-get-away.
I was told it is good and quiet until the end of April. It is too busy with surf camps /schools during summer.
Food tip: El Chilitio's! is 8 min a walk from the hostel. Great Mexican food and affordable.
Next to the hostel, there is a little supermarket. It is on the expensive side, but not too crazy.

Very nice place to spend one-two days in the complete calm without the sign of civilisation) Few cafes, restaurants, we found only one shop with pesto for 7.5 eur😬
If you’re going there by car it’s perfect, otherwise you need to have a taxi, never saw a public transport there.
In love with the dunes (wide line!), November waves and a bit melancholic mood.

Fo people who like to surf and love the ocean and steep cliffs this area is just perfect. And the food is also awesome but most of the time you need to make a reservation in the restaurants, if you don't like to wait for a table.

The beach and the water/view was fantastic...a piece of heaven. Baleal "island" is surrounded by cliffs and rocks but wonderful crashing waves. It is a beach area but has decent restaurants within a short walk. Get an apartment there with a view.
This was our second perfect stay at Perfect Shore. Alex and Clare are the most welcoming, informative and helpful hosts. Their guesthouse is aesthetically and thoughtfully decorated and absolutely immaculate. Our room was spacious and attractive and the most comfortable bed of our many stops on this trip to Portugal. We really appreciate the large and fully equipped communal kitchen. We love the surrounding neighborhood. Wonderful restaurants and pastelerias are a short walk away. Can’t wait to return!
Definitely one of the few personal hostels in Ferrel. You'll feel more like co-housing than being a number in a hotel.
Beds are comfy and clean and you get a small locker. The entire house is cleaned regularly. Spacious kitchen with 2 big fridges and a freezer, so space for everyone's food. 2 shared bathrooms.
A short walk to the sea, some bars etc.
The host, Luis, is a great person that will make you feel comfortable. Talk to him for surf rentals and lessons as well!
I had an excellent stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout my visit. The proximity to the beach was a definite highlight, making it convenient for beach lovers like me. The rooms were spotlessly clean, and I appreciated the comfortable accommodations. The breakfast was delicious, offering a great start to each day. I stayed in a three-bedroom room, which provided ample space and comfort. I can't wait to return here in the future!
If I were to explain the concepts behind -thoughtful- and -caring- to extraterrestrials, I would just need to show them the host, Virginia ! :)
She, together with her family, are the definition of good hosts. Their hospitality is beyond what you can expect in every regard. There hasn’t been a place that made me feel more like home yet.
The place is meticulously (!) clean and the mattresses are more comfortable than in most hotels I’ve been to.
The hotel I keep coming back to from my very first arrival to Baleal years ago. Super lovely family business. In amazing location! Ocean is only a few steps away. Supermarket in front. Very comfortable rooms. I never looked for some other place to stay, as this one has all I need and it’s simply perfect! And the people, who run it, amazing! thank you for another great stay!
Breakfast was fine, but the fresh orange juice was great. The room is really big and very nice, with huge balcony with sea view, amazing. The staff at the reception is so friendly. A big kitchen for looking. Next to the hotel is a small supermarket. And you can walk easily to the beach. I can really recommend this place.
Amazing views and location. A few good cafes and restaurants with min 1 minute walk. Location also amazing for surfing with two beaches directly on front. It really is an amazing location for surfing. Breakfast on the balcony in the morning was a nice touch with loads of options. Friendly staff.
Super friendly staff. Apartment was super clean, organized and with a variety of utensils for cooking. We were with our small child and all items we needed - crib, baby chair and bathtub. When newly visiting baleal & region, we are really considering to stay there again.
Great location in Baleal. Super friendly and always helpful owner and stuff. Good atmosphere in the house. Well equipped kitchen, clean rooms, beautiful garden with a swimming pool and the barbecue zone. It was a great time, only good vibes and nice memories.
Such a comfy, clean bedroom! Good little kitchen & bathroom.Pretty flowers in the garden.Easy parking.Short walk to wonderful beaches with great cafes.Beaches so pretty...sandy stretches at low tide..gorgeous cliffs...surfers to watch . Just great!
The house was very clean, very close to the baleal beach (you just have to cross the road)
The host was super kind, she left us some food in the fridge for our dinner since we were landing late the evening and restaurants were already closed
Valentina was a great host! She was kind, helpful, and gave a personal touch to our stay. The space was great and spacious with good amenities. You must stay here for your next stay in Baleal / Peniche!
The guesthouse is located walking distance to the beach and Baleal center, rooms are big and bright. Owner is super nice and ready to help drop you at the bus station if he's around!
Great location, very nice and clean rooms, nice stuff.
The place are ready for surfers without side shower, locker room, dry weatsuite lines.
Totally best place to stay on Baleal.
New apartment in excellent condition. Easy walk to the beaches and scenic island. Clean and safe building. Very helpful host. Outstanding communication throughout our stay.
