Galata Tower

Medieval Galata Tower pierces the clouds above Istanbul’s skyline, a soaring sentinel to the north of the Golden Horn. A replacement for a previous tower that was destroyed in the crusades, this one was built by the Genoese in 1348. or hundreds of years, it was the tallest building in Istanbul – and its uppermost balcony still offers unrivalled city views today.

Another joke which is not even Turkish, as most of the monuments. Anyway. 35 euros just to inside the tower. If you want to use the lift you’ll pay 60 euros to enter. Told you these guys are born thieves! Amazing.

It's good that they have installed a set of lifts to get to the top of the tower. So you are not walking up too many steps. Best to get there early or towards sunset to see spectacular views with the mosques and the sea across Istanbul.

Definitely a must. Go in the early evening as the night lights are awesome. Museum Pass is a must - this is one of the places you can visit with it. I bought a 5 day pass for 700 TL at Topkapi Palace.

The location of this hotel is excellent. It is very close to Istiklal street where you can do all your shopping as well as fantastic restaurants. It is very close to the Galata tower where you have the shops with the typical Turkish goods to buy. The swimming pool on the rooftop is wonderful; it really helps with kids. The indoor pool and spa facilities looked amazing, but we didn't have time to make use of it.

The hotel deserves all its stars; it's modest but very conveniently located. We walked to Galata Tower and took a cheap taxi. There's also a walking path, and all the mosques are nearby. The staff here are very nice. They're always there to help if you need anything. They speak a little Russian. The sense of security in their small hotel is a plus. I think I'll come back here again if I ever come back to Istanbul. 🫶 I'm writing this review not because I was asked, but because this place truly has a soul.

The staff were very nice and helpful with whatever I needed, and the room was amazing, very spacious, and comfortable. I also liked that the hotel was very close to the central area of Istiklal Street, Galata Tower. The comfort of our duplex room was perfect. Although we did not do much in the kitchen, it had a complementary ambiance. We loved it there)

My stay at The Wolf Hotel in Istanbul was overall a pleasant experience and good value for money. The room was clean and well-maintained, though a bit small in size. The hotel’s location is excellent — just a 2-minute walk to the tram and about 10 minutes on foot to Galata Tower — and the surrounding neighborhood is lively, with plenty of cafes and restaurants to enjoy. The staff were professional, welcoming, and offered great customer service.

The location was perfect. Very close the main sightseeing, specifically to Galata port, Galata tower and to Kabataş. The room itself is big enough for three people, so we were very comfortable. Also thanks to hotel staff Burak, he provided very good service, gave tips about good places around Istanbul and was helpful in general

New decorations with luxury items. The furniture was brand new and comfortable. The location is the best in Istanbul, it’s close to Galata tower 7 mins walk. Local facilities and shops like SOK and restaurants are very close to you there. The transportation of all kinds are around, specially the metro link and local buses. The hotel is in the heart of Istanbul attractions like Taksim, Eminönü and other areas, all of them can be reached easily by walking, depending on the destination you want to go.

We loved our stay at this centrally located hotel in Istanbul! Just a short stroll to the iconic Galata Tower and an easy walk to the metro, it made exploring the city a breeze. While there’s no direct street access for vehicles, it’s only a short walk from drop-off points. The real highlight was the breakfast – exceptional quality, great variety, and something new to enjoy each morning. A perfect base for discovering Istanbul!

Absolutely yes! Istanbul is open restaurant. In every corner you can find perfect meal. Good to try fish restaurant in Bosphorous, or in Çiçek Pasajı. And also good to try restaurants in Maiden or Galata Tower with perfect city view. What it can be better than that!
