Galata Tower

Medieval Galata Tower pierces the clouds above Istanbul’s skyline, a soaring sentinel to the north of the Golden Horn. A replacement for a previous tower that was destroyed in the crusades, this one was built by the Genoese in 1348. or hundreds of years, it was the tallest building in Istanbul – and its uppermost balcony still offers unrivalled city views today.

It's good that they have installed a set of lifts to get to the top of the tower. So you are not walking up too many steps. Best to get there early or towards sunset to see spectacular views with the mosques and the sea across Istanbul.

The breakfast was decent. Lots of options and all items were delicious. The area is not so touristy as compared to Sultanahmet. The closest tram stop is like 10-15 minutes away walking and sometimes it involves going uphill. The Galata Tower can be reached in 4-5 minutes walking (uphill again) The hotel is very new and you can see/feel it - we like it very much!

Metro is on walking distance, typical Turkish breakfast is very nice (served in restaurant across the street), clean room, comfortable bed, friendly and helpful staff. The location was perfect. Very close the main sightseeing, specifically to Galata port, Galata tower and to Kabataş. The room itself is big enough for three people, so we were very comfortable. Also thanks to hotel staff Burak, he provided very good service, gave tips about good places around Istanbul and was helpful in general

New decorations with luxury items. The furniture was brand new and comfortable. The location is the best in Istanbul, it’s close to Galata tower 7 mins walk. Local facilities and shops like SOK and restaurants are very close to you there. The transportation of all kinds are around, specially the metro link and local buses. The hotel is in the heart of Istanbul attractions like Taksim, Eminönü and other areas, all of them can be reached easily by walking, depending on the destination you want to go.

We loved our stay at this centrally located hotel in Istanbul! Just a short stroll to the iconic Galata Tower and an easy walk to the metro, it made exploring the city a breeze. While there’s no direct street access for vehicles, it’s only a short walk from drop-off points. The real highlight was the breakfast – exceptional quality, great variety, and something new to enjoy each morning. A perfect base for discovering Istanbul!

Absolutely yes! Istanbul is open restaurant. In every corner you can find perfect meal. Good to try fish restaurant in Bosphorous, or in Çiçek Pasajı. And also good to try restaurants in Maiden or Galata Tower with perfect city view. What it can be better than that!
