Great place to relax after the gorilla tracking and enjoy the view from the terrace! Richard is the perfect host: he helped us organize the gorilla tracking close to the lodge, he took us on a culture walk to meet the local tribe and he made fire every night to sit by :) Highly recommended!

Cylia and all the staff were fantastic and made sure we didn't miss anything! We are two young women and we stayed at the Ruhija Gorilla Guest house for one night and then tracked with the gorillas the next day but we would have stayed longer! Our room was fantastic, spacious, clean and with two big comfortable beds. The dinner they cooked for us was great and Cylia is careful to fulfil your every wish. Before dinner we visited the village (an experience not to be missed) we met the local people and visited the school and the orphanage; all the people are extremely kind. They upgraded me to a nicer room for free since the nicer rooms weren’t full! The double enclosed room I stayed in was really nice. Big shower with hot water, a nice deck with a desk and chair, comfy beds. The restaurant made good food. The property was gorgeous and right on the edge of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You could walk to the Rushaga gate in 10-15 minutes. They had a beautiful deck overlooking the forest and meadow. The staff was very friendly and helpful and shared about the local culture and history around the campfire at night.
