It was fabulous actually down in the canyon. If you keep to the front of your group you get more time for photograph taking while people catch up. Warm setting for phone camera, as per our helpful guide who also offered often to take pictures of visitors. Go midday for beautiful shafts of light entering into the upper canyon. The tour went by quickly and there was so much beauty. There is some walking (quarter mile? don't know) through sand, lots of stairs, uphill after the tour to get back to the transportation. Transportation is an open-air (but covered) passenger truck, comfortable seats, a bit bumpy through the washboard roads, which was fun. Absolutely amazing experience! Our guide was excellent! Lionel was very knowledgeable about the Antelope Canyon and extremely good as a photographer! The slot Canyon is "cool to the gills"! That expression will certainly age me.
