Ode to Marriott Tuesday we rolled into town 4 of us were Franschhoek bound Need somewhere to shelter us Swimming pool would be a plus We opted for the Marriott Top of town, the perfect spot To lay our heads and rest our bones We truly found our comfort zone Black and white the chequered floor Chloe met us at the door Welcome welcome she did say I trust you will enjoy your stay Now up you go and settle in Your bags will follow in a min Have a swim or forty winks Hit the bar for pre food drinks Victoria says try the wine Here you'll find it very fine We've Chocolate Block and Savignon Our list of wines goes on and on Our room is sumptuous big and bright Comfy bed for us tonight Outside on the balcony Folks are heading down to tea Huzzar the grill it waits for us Feast in here without a fuss Compliment our food with wine This is going to suit us fine Oh my word the flavourings The tastes that we were savouring Off to bed to rest our heads Huge embracing feather beds Morning dawns and pool it calls Painters in their overalls Say into pool they would not get You know it's still October yet Refreshed from swim we dine again Welcome to the breakfast den JP and Patrick guide us through Dine like Kings and Queens we do It's afternoon, to bar we go Edward's here and runs the show A rugby man Ed's true and true Coaching now his playing's through Just 3 nights we've had our stay Sadly we check out today But we'll return and that's a fact With Marriott we've made a pact E.P. Beautiful decor and in a great location. Rooms were large and the beds were very comfortable. We felt very at home here.

it was probably the best boutique hotel we have ever stayed in. The attention to detail is excellent and Declan and his team could not have been friendlier and more helpful.

The location was very accessible for where you wanted to go. The view was above all expectations, and the breakfast was decent.
