South AfricaAbsolutely everything was perfect. A little gem! We ordered a braaipack in advance. It contained so much more than expected. In addition to the meat, there was roosterkoek, jam, salad, pumpkin fritters and more. The rooms and beds were super comfortable. The kitchen had every utensil we needed and fresh drinkwater was supplied.
The Swartberg Mountains around us were breathtaking. We loved our stay. It was booked for a stay-over location close to the Cango Caves but we will be back for a longer stay at some stage to explore the area further.

United Arab EmiratesAmazing time at the Lodge. Not only was the food (even catered for vegan) fantastic, but the ability to hike and mountain bike around this huge reserve gave us real freedom to experience the land and wildlife.

This drive is not for the faint hearted but if you are prepared it is worth every minute. The roads are all gravel, rough, broken up and falling away down the mountainsides. It’s so peaceful with lots of bird life and a pack of 7 springboks. The location is great for the Swartberg Pass, Cango Caves, ostrich farms, central Oudtshoorn and some great restaurants. However everything is catered for in the cottage and spending the evenings around the braai was just perfect for us. Our host Neil was very helpful and informative, and made us feel totally at home!
