Riverside Guest Lodge offers panoramic views of Grobbelaars River and Swartberg Mountains. It offers air-conditioned rooms and wooden cottages. After we booked the stay, we had a very good contact with the owners and when we met them on arrival, it was great fun to finaly meet them and also that the place was so very nice - actullay much better than we hoped for. They have a lot of things in the rooms and you could get the feeling that it's to much, but for us - we liked it ! The room was very nice, comfy beds and the bathroom seemed to by quite newly renovated. A very good breakfast in the morning as well. We was just in for one ( 1 ) night, but could easily stayed longer. After we left, we got an mail with a lemut saying: We miss you already !! Lovely !

Not only was the food (even catered for vegan) fantastic, but the ability to hike and mountain bike around this huge reserve gave us real freedom to experience the land and wildlife. The extraordinary surroundings and the organic farm to plate philosophy really does make it an unforgettable and unique experience that we will definitely want to repeat.

Rooiberg Lodge se nachází v přírodní rezervaci Assegaay, kousek od města VanWyksdorp. Nabízí venkovní bazén a vlastní restauraci, vše obklopené pohořím Rooiberg. We felt very welcome, staff very friendly.Beautiful surrounds!

HouseMartin Lodge & Self Catering se nachází v destinaci De Rust a poskytuje venkovní bazén, zahradu, sdílený lounge, terasu, vybavení pro grilování a výhled do zahrady. The rooms were beautiful and spacious with aircon. Lush gardens and a very nice pool area. Centrally located. Very friendly and helpful owners.

Sanbona Wildlife Reserve is an authentic and contrasting natural space, conveniently located along Route 62, a mere 3.5 hours from Cape Town in the arid Little Karoo. It far exceeded our expectations, it’s very well run , nicely luxurious, excellent staff and we had some good game drives and were fortunate to see a Cheetah, there are only 3 on the property ( bigger than Singapore) no lion sightings which was a disappointment but nature doesn’t always perform to order. Some excellent interactions with a the elephants. The food was good and from the decking we saw Kudo, Gazelles, Baboons, a Lion was spotted and a Brown Hyena.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Duckpond Lodge! From the moment we arrived, Richard went above and beyond to make our visit truly special. He was incredibly communicative leading up to our stay and took extra care to arrange thoughtful gifts for a special birthday celebration, which was such a delightful surprise. The lodge itself was charming, comfortable, and perfectly maintained. Every detail of our stay exceeded our expectations, and it’s clear that Richard genuinely cares about his guests’ experience. We couldn’t recommend Duckpond Lodge more and will definitely be returning!
