Whispering Sands Beachfront Motel is situated on Waikanae Beach, just a 10-minute walk from Gisborne city centre. Our apartment backed directly onto the grassed area that led to the beach. Our toddler could play and we could sit and relax just outside the room close to our food and drink.

White Heron Motor Lodge is just 2 minutes' drive from the centre of Gisborne and 7 minutes' drive from the beach and the airport. How close it was to everything. It was so modern and like a home away from home.

We were upgraded to a bedroom suite and the king bed was sooo comfy as were the twin beds in the bedroom. The bathroom was roomy and room was large with a table, chairs and sofa. The hot tub and pool were clean. We would have like to stay longer in the morning but had to drive to our tour. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Staff were friendly and allowed us parking with a trailer in their large parking area. Clean and quiet room. Restaurant next door looks good but didn't try. Definitely reccomend BKs to anyone staying in Gisborne.

The outside appearance as we drove in was immaculate and the inside was the same. we have stayed in a few motels in gisborne and this was the best. will certainly stay there again

Located in the centre of Te Hapara, this motel offers a children’s playground for the whole family to enjoy. Free WiFi is provided. Easy to find, and there are stores and restaurants nearby. The main attractions are also not far away. The owner/manager is helpful, nice and knowledgeable about Gisborne. Our room was a good size, and it had everything you need.
