I was impressed with how green and beautiful the Bernese countryside is. The studio where I was staying was very spacious and clean. I slept really well with the windows open, The breakfast was served in the owner’s kitchen and was made with love. There were local ingredients and the super fresh bread was home-baked. I had a really nice local experience and the owner is clearly passionate about creating a good guest experience,

Our host was incredibly welcoming and helpful. She supported our visit in Sumiswald with great tourist information and restaurant recommendations. She took the time to answer all our questions about the history of the castle. Despite being in a castle our stay was exceedingly comfortable. We were happy for the modernization that included an elevator :). Amazing view from our room over the countryside.

Decoration throughout the hotel was exquisite. Great staff - helpful, polite and friendly. We were on a 16 day trip, visiting France, Italy and Switzerland. This hotel was by far the most outstanding, due to the decor, facilities, breakfast and the staff, lead by the fantastic Ferdinand! We will be back for sure!

The backyard was so relaxing as well. I didn’t want to leave! :)
