We recently had the pleasure of staying at KAILASH BOUTIQUE HOTEL in Thamel, Kathmandu, a true gem nestled in a vibrant location. From the clean, comfortable rooms to the exquisite cuisine (better than the local restaurants we visited!), every aspect of our stay was designed for relaxation and delight. However, what truly set our experience apart was the extraordinary presence of the manager, Dol. From the moment we arrived, Dol exuded warmth, kindness, and an unmistakable passion for hospitality. With decades of experience as a trekking guide, his vast knowledge and resourcefulness was evident in every interaction. His mastery of professionalism, practicality, good sense and great humour is rare even in 5-star deluxe hotel managers. There are many excellent hotel managers out there, but Dol goes above and beyond what can be learned. He welcomed us not merely as guests, but as friends, and he made us feel like our comfort and well-being were among his highest priorities. His genuine care helped make our our stay a memorable journey of discovery and delight. Dol's wisdom and generous spirit provided not only exceptional service but also an inspiring reminder of the beauty of human connection. We visited Nepal for the first time, and I’m incredibly happy that we chose to stay at this hotel! The staff is amazingly kind and helpful, the rooms are clean and beautiful, the breakfasts and food at the restaurant are delicious, and the rooftop terrace offers a stunning view of all of Kathmandu! The staff also helped us a lot with tours and exploring the city — thank you so much! When I return to Kathmandu, I will 1000% stay here again!

Very comfortable beds, great staff and perfect location. Everything is nearby and reachable by a short walk. There’s plenty of hot water in the shower which was amazing. It’s located in quiet street so no outside noise. Totally recommend this place!

Hotel Jampa was exceptionally well located right in the middle of Thamel. Close to absolutely everything. At times you could hear other guests moving around outside the rooms, but for the price and location, you couldn’t beat it. Breakfast in the courtyard was delightful. Every single staff member we came across was super friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Oasis Kathmandu Hotel offers accommodation in Kathmandu. Great place in a perfect location, right in Thamel but far enough from all the busy streets. Staff is very friendly, breakfast is delicious and the rooms and specially the beds are super comfortable. We stayed both times when we were in Kathmandu, definitely recommend!
