La Menara was our absolute favorite stay in Tunisia. It was so beautiful and the owner was amazingly generous. He gave us a room upgrade and we loved it so much, we came back for another stay and we were given the best room in the house with an amazing balcony overlooking the city and ocean. Coffee at breakfast was delicious and the breakfast buffet was very good. The pool area was great for relaxing. Parking right in front of the hotel. The staff were amazing, helpful, kind and such a pleasure. The rooms were luxurious, absolutely a perfect stay! If we ever come back to Tunis area, we will absolutely return to La Menara!

Absolutely everything! The owner was extremely friendly and kind, he invited me to see all his artwork when I arrived and I met his family and had an amazing traditional Tunisian couscous! I spent hours conversing with them - what a lovely experience. He was very thorough on explaining the home and even had fracassie, cheeses, and yogurt available for my arrival. The home was more than I expected. Prefect kitchen with all the ammenities. Bath tub to relax, salon area to chill, massive bedroom with fun and gorgeous decorations all over the home. It was close to the city as well as the beach, lovely cafe close by and supermarket for anything you need it just a 2 min walk. I was also given a few unexpected gifts before my departure, and this was so lovely and kind! I will def be renting this place again when I return to Tunisia in April! You will feel at home at all times.

It‘s a sweet place in great location - an easy walk to restaurants and the heart of Sidi Bou Said. The host has put very personal touches to make guests feel welcome. We especially appreciated the generous offerings for breakfast the next day. The host was also great with communication and responded to quickly. Check in and out was easy. The place was just right for two people, and we love the outdoor seating with a he Olive tree and plants. It was very comfortable and nice. We would have loved to stay longer.

It is also very close to the train line, with hourly trains to La Marsa and to Tunis. The host is friendly and responsive; the check in and out was super easy.
