- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 743 reviewsThe location is unparalleled. Easily accessible from Salzburg via the 150 bus. The town is much more lively in the summer when the water is warm enough to swim, but we quite enjoyed the more quiet nature in late May. We spent our first day soaking up the sun in the private seating area by the lake, reserved for patrons of the hotel. Although our second day was drizzly, (had to cancel our stand-up paddle board reservation) we still made the best of it & took a beautiful walk around the lake, then took advantage of the spa at the hotel (saunas, water massages/jet tubs, water beds, an infrared chamber). The crowning jewel of the trip was by far the accomodating nature & hospitality of the family Vogl, who run the hotel. I could not speak more highly of them. We arrived in town 4 hours before we could check in at 15:00, and they were happy to hold our luggage until then at the front desk. I had warned them in advance when booking the stay that my mom has celiac & cannot have gluten, and during our breakfast (an INCREDIBLE spread, unlike anything I’d ever seen at a breakfast buffet), they brought out all sorts of gluten free options specifically for her to eat. As we had to head out before breakfast on our last day, our stay concluded with the AMAZING 5-course dinner put together by the hotel. You must reserve at least a day in advance, and was worth far more than the €32 a person that we paid to sit by the lake & enjoy our delicious food. My mom was blown away by the fact that they made a special cauliflower soup for her for her allergy, and offered her high quality gluten free rolls. We cannot say enough about this trip of a lifetime and recommend to anyone.Guest review bySimonUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 324 reviewsThe Ebner's Waldhof am See Resort & Spal has very spacious family rooms. The spa area, especially the heated pool, is magnificent. You can come to lunch in a terry robe straight from the spa area. I really liked the food - a large variety of tasty and healthy food - you can even make your own smoothie from apples, carrots, sellerei and ginger. For dinner, you can choose from several menus, including vegetarian cuisine. Dinner dishes are served and decorated at the level of Michelin 5 stars. Every day the hotel has a new plan of events. The hotel is run by a family, their care and attention are present in every corner of the hotel. The atmosphere in the hotel is very warm, welcoming and friendly.Guest review byIaroslavGermany
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 445 reviewsIdyllic spot for a retreat, with views of the lake and mountain, own private garden and pond, library full of books and sauna. The staff is supernice and attentive. Breakfast at the garden in a sunny day is a delight. You can also get free access to Fuschlseebad, where you can enjoy private access to the lake, swimming pool, fitness area, etc. Loved the silence! I will definitely repeat the experience.Guest review byPilarSpain

The room was very spacious, beds really comfy, the breakfast was delicious and the free access to the spa area with saunas and whirlpool was a wonderful bonus which I had forgotten about, so it was a really nice surprise. Beautiful scenery and the views across the lake are amazing.
Beautiful scenery and the views across the lake are amazing. Limited supermarket facilities and quite expensive - worth shopping further afield if you have a car. Check restaurant opening times as some were closed when you might expect them to be open, and make a reservation during busy seasons (school holidays) !Guest review bySimonUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Ebenau is a quiet village in a lush, narrow valley with thick forests around. It's a great place for hiking with many well-marked forest trails. There are small lakes nearby, which seem ideal for relaxing an recharging.Guest review byMilsomAustria - 10.0

Nice place for trips around the lake and to the mountains. The village has many restaurants and shops. Burgruine Wartenfels is worth seeing, especially for amazing views of the landscape, lakes and mountains.Guest review byJanaCzech Republic - 10.0
Very comfortable quiet room with excellent bed.
Very comfortable quiet room with excellent bed. Gorgeous views over golf course and a portion of the Lake. Would have liked a small nespresso machine or similar as no coffee making facilities in the room. Otherwise it was a superb choice and we loved every minute of it.Guest review byLyndaCanada - 10.0

Fuschl is a little off the best track but so quiet and peaceful. You will need some transport to get around and see the sights as the whole area is stunning. Fushl is lovely to visit, also St Gilgen where are at Brunetti'. The likes and walks are great as accessible and a fry your is a must. The restaurant Gamsjaga comes highly recommend and as a beautiful view over the lake.Guest review byDellaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

This hof is like no other hof I've ever seen. The lush green beauty is too tempting to look away from. Also, please do take a trip to Halstatt for a day to visit the salt mine and ride the funicular.Guest review bythenoobtravellerSweden
