We stayed at Aldgate Creek Cottage for two nights and had an absolutely magical stay. The property itself is beautiful, with so many thoughtful touches — from handy charger cables to plenty of guides and games for cosy evenings in. Terry, our main point of contact, was fantastic: friendly, helpful, and made us feel so welcome. We had such a relaxing time and it was the perfect base for exploring the Adelaide Hills and nearby wineries. We would definitely love to return!
We were once again in this magical place. The location was extremely clean, with every detail carefully arranged. We had excellent communication with Vanessa. It is one of the most atmospheric places in South Australia.
Highly recommend!
Views of the bushland setting from all rooms. Quality breakfast provisions and generous amounts. Lovely people and a beautiful quiet location, an easy car drive from many Hills highlights. Would happily stay again for longer.
This place had everything we needed and more! The bed was comfortable, we enjoyed an evening swim after we arrived, the breakfast options perfect! We’ll be back again next time we are in Adelaide! We ate dinner at the naughty neighbour (close by) wine bar and it was delicious.

Highly recommended.
The house was warm and welcoming.
Highly recommended.
The house was warm and welcoming. Had all the utensils and appliances you needed. From extras of cleaning products, washing detergent and more..
The fireplace was a lovey treat on a very cold and wet weekend. (Note to bring your own firewood)
The house was clean and extra portable heaters for the bedrooms which was much needed.
The kids loved exploring the property and creek.
The communication was fantastic.
My only dislikes would be the beds were a bit hard for my personal preference. A bigger couch and a veranda out the back would have been nice too.
All personal preference really.
It was a perfect location with shops within 5min drive.
We will be back agin.
Perfect little winter get away with the family.
Highly recommend

Really cute little town.
Really cute little town. Lots of other quaint, small towns in easy driving distance. We booked four nights (with a function on the first full day) but actually left one day early. Was winter and once the weather turned, we were ready for home.

Stirling has so much to offer.
Stirling has so much to offer. Great restaurants, cafes and close to Adelaide if you need to go there with a good bus service.
Great for bike rides, Mt Lofty Botanic Gardens, walks, Cleland Wildlife Park and access to all the Hills townships.

Aldgate is a wonderful picturesque suburb nestled in the most beautiful landscape. Driving around is easy although get ready for some hairpins and blind spots but what do you expect in the bush. There was an abundance of great restaurants / hotels in very close proximiity. The food is awesome and generally locally sourced. I shouldn't have to say anything about the local wineries other than they have some of the best white wines in the country and are so easy to reach.

Very pleasant stay, owner very helpful, and the decor was fantastic, Bed was just right. No cooking facilities however and probably not needed, would have been great if we could have used an electric BBQ or something to cook breakfast, and the walkway to the Hot tub probably is a little slippery and should be upgraded, but all in all a delightful stay, could recommend to anyone.

Stirling is a stunning little country town, especially in Autumn. The food choices are plentiful with excellent variety from organic cafes to Indian and Thai. The stirling pub was above average in terms of usual pub fair, and the Stirling Chicken shop is a true gem for takeaway. Each month a local market is held where you can purchase seasonal produce, gifts and yummy food. You can't go wrong visiting this beautiful little town.

We loved the comfort, ambience, cleanliness and homeliness of Aldgate Creek Cottage. It is so serene and relaxing and we wanted for nothing during our stay. There are many and varied places to eat and all within walking distance. The surrounding gardens are absolutely beautiful and the birdlife is abundant. We had bird company on the balustrade of the balcony although it was raining and we did not get the chance to sit outside but could see plenty through the double French doors and windows. All in all a very relaxing stay and no doubt in our minds about recommending it to family and friends.
