- From £75.09 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 383 reviewsWhat an amazing place to stay. Having just come off the Bibbulmun Track, where I hadn't really seen many people for a week and had lots of peace and quiet, this lovely oasis was perfect—just bird sounds and a little classical music from the kitchen! And that wasn't all that came out of the kitchen... Wanda, who runs Whispering Pines, treated me to fresh biscuits, still warm from the oven, home-made cake and fine Yorkshire Tea (liquid gold for a Yorkshireman like me). She was also kind enough to take me into town so I could get an evening meal, then picked me up again once I was done, as I didn't have a car. I can't recommend Whispering Pines highly enough for anyone who is looking for a quiet corner of Western Australia to relax in.Guest review byMichaelSingapore
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 50 reviewsThis place was like a secret little hideaway, quirky, quaint, no reception, beautiful gardens to walk around, perfect little cottage, in the bush with the blackwood river running couple hundred meters from the property. If you want to enjoy quality time with someone, perfect. Very cute loft bedroom with verandah off it, book shelf full to brim, would love to go back in the winter with fire on, hot spa on deck!Guest review byChristinaAustralia

It was such a quiet and tranquil vibe and we all came home feeling very relaxed ☺️ We had an amazing time and would definitely recommend!!!😍😍😍 10/10Guest review byEmmaAustralia

Lovely!
Lovely! Clean and the staff in the independent stores were attentive and warm. Great variety of retail and food outlets. Pubs were excellent, we were in Bunbury as we were looking at real estate for our future years!Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Collie is a great little town with huge potential for tourism. Situated in rolling hills and surrounded by beautiful native forests, streams and a magnificent dam, I would recommend at least a 1 or 2 night stay. Other attractions include a very realistic replica coal mine at the tourist information centre, a museum across the road containing thousands of fascinating artefacts and coal mining equipment. A stroll around town reveals vintage steam locomotives and rolling stock and I'm sure many other treasures waiting to be discovered. There are plenty of accommodation options but best to book ahead to avoid disappointment.Guest review byPhilipMaleyAustralia - 10.0
Best place to stay when golfing in the area.
Best place to stay when golfing in the area. It would also be very central for travelling in our south west as it’s near to many attractions. Walking distance to eating places. An entry to Bunbury and further south. Pretty and cool. Go crabbing on the estuary.Guest review byNeilAustralia - 10.0
Very small, quaint and friendly town.
Very small, quaint and friendly town. Population 400 - a few cafes but nowhere to have dinner. Mr Foster at Mr Foster's - 08 9764 1887 will prepare a meal for you on a takeaway basis and you return the plate the next day. You need to order by 2.30 pm and pick up by around 4pm which is not much help if you are arriving late. The Shamrock Hotel about 10kms away is a great alternative. Balingup folk were holding a Medieval festival the week after we left which I hope to get to next year. Wonderful gift shops and lots to do in and around the area. The local tavern is closed for refurbishment and I imagine when it does open it will provide meals.Guest review byRebecca - 8.0

It is a very pretty area, charming countryside. However, visitors need to have a vehicle to access outlying areas. Fergusion Valley is a short drive and quite picturesque with many wineries. However, information was limited and difficult to access.Guest review byDale KerferdAustralia - 10.0

We were 3 families and even though you shared the accommodation each family had their separate space as well. Excellent facilities. Play park near accommodation. Enough space for kids to run and ride bikes. Farm feeling. Private.Guest review byAnetteSouth Africa - 8.0

The location is great with so many facilities within walking distance. The beds are very comfortable and the room cleaners did an excellent job. Bunbury itself is interesting with so much public art, quaint shops and lovy coffee shops.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Beautiful town with very friendly people and atmosphere. Lovely hiking routes and swimming holes. We ate at the Crown and food and service was excellent. The ladies in the Information Centre were knowledgeable and helpful. We will be back!Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Only stayed two nights. I really liked Australind.
Only stayed two nights. I really liked Australind. Motel room was spacious and had everything required. Loved sitting outside looking at the sunset and water. Next door to pub. Heaps of paths to ride push bikes - along Collie river, into Australind shops and even to Bunbury. Location was great. Saw dolphins. Road does make it a little noisy at times but ear plugs fix that for sleeping. I would stay again.Guest review byDianeAustralia - 8.0
Love Balingup. So pretty and worth a stop.
Love Balingup. So pretty and worth a stop. A visit to Tinderbox is worthwhile and The Old Cheese Factory. A fe lovely little craft shops. One down side is that if you are staying there is where for dinner. Tavern is closed as I think they had a fire. So cafes for coffee and lunch only.Guest review byWendyAustralia
