- From £38.27 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 635 reviewsAmazing camping site. Nature is absolutely beautiful around the camping. We saw manly koalas and kangaroos. Our flight got delayed and the owner of Bimbi was super flexible. She even reimbursed us the night we missed because of the delay. I hope to visit again and stay longer!Guest review byGuillaumeBelgium

A good stopping point on a trip along the Great Ocean Road.
A good stopping point on a trip along the Great Ocean Road. Not as expensive, pretentious or busy in winter as Lorne is. Great fish and chips at the Fishman's Co-op., which was not too busy in winter but would be very hectic in summer of holiday periods. This is an attractive seaside town with good facilities and choice of food establishments. Worth a visit.Guest review byMrs PicklesAustralia - 10.0
I love Lorne in all seasons.
I love Lorne in all seasons. The beach is great in warmer months and the forests are great all year round. Plenty of walks, lots of good cafes and restaurants, the newly renovated Grand Pacific Hotel is insane. It's a sleepy town in Winter, but I like that very much - it's so cosy, lots of places have fireplaces. I love Lorne.Guest review byMelsAustralia - 10.0
We had a relaxing family holiday at Anglesea.
We had a relaxing family holiday at Anglesea. The location of the holiday park right next to the beach and river meant we barely had to get in the car. It’s an excellent location for kids with many different activities. The beds in the cabins were so comfortable too!Guest review bySarahAustralia - 8.0

It was a lovely quiet place with good clean comfortable accommodation. Our hosts looked after us very well . We had a good choice for breakfast. The only downside was after a day’s travel there was no where near to go to eat .Guest review byRogerUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Love the holiday feel of Aireys and the facilities like the lighthouse, viewing spots and the café there, and track walks there and the pub. Village cafes and store perfect and the market in school grounds was superb! Everyone very friendly.Guest review byRichardUnited Kingdom - 10.0

This was one of the most beautiful and unusual locations I have stayed in. You won't find modern conveniences, which would ruin the authenticity of the experience. The beds are wonderful, the bathroom beautiful and the scenery is outstanding. If you have an artistic soul this property is for you. There are plenty of DVD's and games but the true entertainment is the surroundings, the serenity and the quiet. Don't miss the opportunity to remove yourself from the modern world and enjoy the views.Guest review bySamantha - 8.0

it has a nice area for relaxing outside if the weather is fine, easy to find, and not that far away from apollo bay for entertainment and eating experiences that are fabulous. it is comfortable and good for staying when exploring the great ocean road and surrounding areas.Guest review byJanetAustralia - 10.0

The house was exactly as described but being there made it even better!! The views were amazing and sitting out on the deck having a few drinks we experienced the bird life in the area. The bedrooms were spacious and they all have their own bathrooms which was fantastic. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything you need for the few days we had. Our family really enjoyed the experience and would definitely recommend this house as a home away from home. We would stay here again if we are in the area. We visited the waterfalls in the area and a must see. We went to Live Wire park which was great only down side is it is a bit expensive. Apollo Bay and Lorne are about 20 minutes away in each direction, so you need to be prepared to bring all your needs with you, but this is exactly what we wanted family time away. Excellent place to stay for large family groups, couples and friends looking for a break.Guest review byDianeAustralia - 8.0
A small, well-kept village that caters well for tourists.
A small, well-kept village that caters well for tourists. It is on the Beech Forest rail trail, a well-maintained feature. We arrived just after the Golden Gumboot event when the gumboots were still displayed on the trees but were removed promptly. The only local facility we visited was the general store, that also functions as the local post office, and a cafe and gift shop. It is run by a very pleasant young lady with excellent local knowledge. She is also a good cook - our lunch was plentiful, delicious and nutritious. with off road parking and seating.Guest review byMargaretAustralia - 8.0
Apollo Bay in the winter is quieter, which is lovely.
Apollo Bay in the winter is quieter, which is lovely. Lots to do and see nearby. Like anywhere on the Great Ocean Road, it is busy, lots of tourists and expensive, which make it unbearable in the summer. It has the best of everything - beautiful coastline, views, rolling hills, and forest. Like all good coastal town, it is growing up and becoming developed which definitely spoils the charm it held 50 years ago, but such is life.Guest review bySarahAustralia
