Close to cradle mountain. Large parking lot allows parking close to rooms. The decoration and interior design create a Sherlock homes feeling with a super nice lounge area which has a fireplace very nice to have friends gathering together and play around. Breakfast is very good.

Quite possibly the most magical place we have ever stayed! The views are simply magnificent. We had planned on going out exploring, however, we set ourselves up on the veranda with a bottle or two of wine and didn't move. The farm animals were just beautiful, as were the plentiful rabbits. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and provided all the facilities you would possibly need.

Peaceful, historic location in beautiful garden and surroundings some way off the road. Internally, tastefully furnished and decorated, very spacious, and superbly equipped. The hosts were friendly and welcoming as well as generous with provisions for breakfast and letting us use the laundry facilities. It was a nice touch to provide flowers freshly picked from the garden. There was lots of information on the local area too - Trowunna wildlife sanctuary, close by, is well worth a visit. One of the best properties we have ever stayed at.

Great food, great staff and fantastic natural environment in the middle of Tasmania, with no other hotel/house in sight, able to view lots of local animals such as Tasmanian Devils, Wallabies, Wombats, etc. Staff was super helpful and friendly and we had a most restful expereience here.

It is a special place but visitors need to know that there are no additional facilities there. Ensure you have a full tank of petrol and purchase some goodies to take with you because once you are there you are a "trapped" audience. Prices are high and variety is not great.

A nice little country town, which makes a great stopover when travelling between Hobart and the west coast. It is quite picturesque, especially after it snowed. One downside to snow though is possible road closures if you don't have a 4WD. There's also not a lot of options for food. Best to go shopping for groceries at the local shop or head to another town if you want to eat out (we went to Miena).

    The setting is beautiful.

The setting is beautiful. I would suggest bringing your own plates and cutlery as there were none available in the room. Just a fridge with some long life milk, a kettle and some cups with some tea and coffee. There is no microwave. Very comfy bed and very cozy room. Be warned there is absolutely no internet wifi and I could only get cell coverage for my phone down by the lake. But it is lovely and peaceful.

Mole Creek's location allowed us easy access to a variety of towns and sites across the area - from Cradle Mountain to the Bossimis Bakehouse and Cafe in Sheffield which we visited every day we were in the area. The roads were easy to travel and the locals were warm and welcoming. Food at the Mole Creek Hotel was excellent and prices are very good.

Absolutely stunning and picturesque spot. Gorgeous Mountain and farmland views. We had an incredible lunch with friends at a nearby Raspberry farm and strolled along the beautiful river at Delloraine. Next time we will stay longer and explore the surrounding area and caves.

Caveside is a beautiful place to rest and take time out of a busy life. The views are amazing as is the quiet and the fresh air. The room is modern, clean and comfortable. It had all the amenities we needed for a couple of nights away. We really loved the property with its own little rain forest walk, dam, fire pit and golf course. We were not too far from the caves, however we didnt have enough time to explore them. Deloraine is only 20min drive if you are needing any essential shopping. Overall it is a lovely getaway for 2 - 3 nights for some rest and relaxation.

It's where the Derwent River starts. See Lake St Claire and The Wall. Great stopover for a rest. We bought our own food to cook but the Roadhouse can cater if they know by 4.30pm. They also have wine and beer if you need. So glad we stayed over.

One of the best World Heritage Sites there is!

One of the best World Heritage Sites there is! Stunning days no matter the weather! Be prepared if you are going to do any of the longer walks and follow the directions of the maps and staff. We eat at Peppers up the road from where we stay, they have a fantastic tavern there. There is so much to do for couples and families!

Peace and tranquility was a big winner for us.

Peace and tranquility was a big winner for us. There was not a lot for us to do there other than a drive into the small community and a drive outside of town to look at town water supply. We brought our own food and supplies with us , expecting there would be limited choices within the town .There was very little available at general store when we looked so very pleased we made that choice !
