It is a special place but visitors need to know that there are no additional facilities there. Ensure you have a full tank of petrol and purchase some goodies to take with you because once you are there you are a "trapped" audience. Prices are high and variety is not great.Guest review byHarvey - 8.0

A nice little country town, which makes a great stopover when travelling between Hobart and the west coast. It is quite picturesque, especially after it snowed. One downside to snow though is possible road closures if you don't have a 4WD. There's also not a lot of options for food. Best to go shopping for groceries at the local shop or head to another town if you want to eat out (we went to Miena).Guest review byRebeccaAustralia - 8.0
The setting is beautiful.
The setting is beautiful. I would suggest bringing your own plates and cutlery as there were none available in the room. Just a fridge with some long life milk, a kettle and some cups with some tea and coffee. There is no microwave. Very comfy bed and very cozy room. Be warned there is absolutely no internet wifi and I could only get cell coverage for my phone down by the lake. But it is lovely and peaceful.Guest review byJocelynAustralia - 10.0

Mole Creek's location allowed us easy access to a variety of towns and sites across the area - from Cradle Mountain to the Bossimis Bakehouse and Cafe in Sheffield which we visited every day we were in the area. The roads were easy to travel and the locals were warm and welcoming. Food at the Mole Creek Hotel was excellent and prices are very good.Guest review byMaureenAustralia - 10.0
Beautiful unique property, one of a kind.
Beautiful unique property, one of a kind. Fantastic hosts, very friendly and welcoming. Cafe on-site is a bonus with delicious home cooked meals. Scenery is superb. Could not recommend this place enough!Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Absolutely stunning and picturesque spot.
Absolutely stunning and picturesque spot. Gorgeous Mountain and farmland views. We had an incredible lunch with friends at a nearby Raspberry farm and strolled along the beautiful river at Delloraine. Next time we will stay longer and explore the surrounding area and caves.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Caveside is a beautiful place to rest and take time out of a busy life. The views are amazing as is the quiet and the fresh air. The room is modern, clean and comfortable. It had all the amenities we needed for a couple of nights away. We really loved the property with its own little rain forest walk, dam, fire pit and golf course. We were not too far from the caves, however we didnt have enough time to explore them. Deloraine is only 20min drive if you are needing any essential shopping. Overall it is a lovely getaway for 2 - 3 nights for some rest and relaxation.Guest review byJane - 10.0
It's where the Derwent River starts.
It's where the Derwent River starts. See Lake St Claire and The Wall. Great stopover for a rest. We bought our own food to cook but the Roadhouse can cater if they know by 4.30pm. They also have wine and beer if you need. So glad we stayed over.Guest review byAlanAustralia - 10.0
One of the best World Heritage Sites there is!
One of the best World Heritage Sites there is! Stunning days no matter the weather! Be prepared if you are going to do any of the longer walks and follow the directions of the maps and staff. We eat at Peppers up the road from where we stay, they have a fantastic tavern there. There is so much to do for couples and families!Guest review byBelindaAustralia - 8.0
Peace and tranquility was a big winner for us.
Peace and tranquility was a big winner for us. There was not a lot for us to do there other than a drive into the small community and a drive outside of town to look at town water supply. We brought our own food and supplies with us , expecting there would be limited choices within the town .There was very little available at general store when we looked so very pleased we made that choice !Guest review by2 Happy TravellersAustralia
