Kitchen was open shelves not much storage, trendy but not always practical. Was supposed to be self contained but there was no laundry, so no washing machine or dryer. Table, outside and tall with high stools, unsuitable for the elderly or children. They did supply another table on request. Spaceous. Concrete floors throughout. Tv reception kept dropping out. Lacked comfortable armchair. Staff lovely. Restaurant too expensive. Grounds and wildlife lovely. Location, good but road damaged due to floods, traffic lihghts in operation.Guest review byJeanAustralia - 8.0
Stayed for two nights at Mount Warning Rainforest Retreat.
Stayed for two nights at Mount Warning Rainforest Retreat. Great location, excellent ambience. Very close to Mount Warning. Great view from the camping grounds. Mavis Kitchen property is within walking distance providing excellent choice of food. They have accommodation too. I was surprised to find the cabins, where we stayed, other than ‘Eco’ cabins did not have any air-conditioning. Living area and the main bedroom had fans but second bedroom did not have any. It is recommended that the owners/operators should consider installing air-conditioning in all cabins. Perhaps there should be some cottage type accommodations with modern facilities to capture a certain types of customers who would certainly be interested to stay at this lovely place not minding paying a higher tariff.Guest review byZiaAustralia - 10.0

We ate at a lovely pub at Uki with very friendly staff, reasonable priced meals and great atmosphere. There is a quaint petrol bowser on the side of the road! Very small country town. The roads from Murwillumbah out to Uki are a little bumpy with a bit of roadworks going on.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Very pleasant and accessible to the plenty of attractions in the wider area. Didn’t spend time in Uki itself as it is a small quiet village but went to some of many attractions on the foodie trail!! Husk Distillery in particular and Tweed River House! We also very much enjoyed the Tweed Gallery and Margaret Olley Gallery along with the views from the lovely lunch place Ajax dining at the Gallery!Guest review byGillianAustralia
